Ascent/Descent bug is finally solved!

Coming a bit late here, but I can confirm that Guide synchronization has improved a lot since Android 4.54.X. Now I can close this one, thanks @pavel-samokha and @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos for the quick fixes here

@MoeJito that’s exactly the way it works on my side, and also the the way it is described on the german page.

@jp386 hi there is no constant sync. Did you read the conversation here? The persistent notification is how Android handles services that manage Bluetooth connection. How are you going to get notifications if that does not happen ?

The latest version has improved sync. Ping back if you continue to have issues…

@sartoric yep all is fine now. The track is fine, and if i mess up i can convert the route into a track. Mea Culpa. No bug, just my fumbly fingers. But why not just change saving the route to saving a track with lat lon elev and time? A great mystery of life.

In case anyone finds this thread. Happy to report this is now working as expected. Kayaking sports mode activity now correctly transfers to Strava as Kayaking (not SUP).
