It would be nice, but it currently doesn’t seem to support it; especially as it drives some of the metrics we see.

@Patrizio-Romanelli Using the built in offline maps and routing software on companion phone app you can navigate to a POI by setting a waypoint for that POI ,however the POI information isn’t as comprehensive as google maps (at least in my area). There is no way to create a route on your watch - though you can use your map screen to track your way there. However the beauty of the S7 is the ability to use other apps. There are a couple of playstore where you can create a route on the fly on your watch, however as no 4G/LTE you would need to be connnected to a phone/wifi. If you have your phone on you, of course the route nav is available, and or you could use google maps on your phone (don’t go via android auto - as navigation via this disables directions to watch), in which case maps will send text/voice notifications to your watch on direction changes.

@eurohiker On a side note. The watch’s altitude is completely off from the gpx file and strava (or any other app that records elevation) on a phone. The phone is always very close to the gpx file so I don’t understand why the watch is off even with little to no wind. This seems to be a theme reading a bunch of comments about it. I shouldn’t need a sensor since my phone can do it just fine based on gps coordinates most likely. An option to record GPS coordinates based elevation and display the statistics would fix all my issues. Start the hike elevation at 0 would also be a cool option. Maybe a feature to let my phone record the altitude data instead of the watch?

@guy85 if installed to phone, check on watch’s play store - under Apps on My phone section. If there then yes. If not then no. not sure why you would want to, with suunto’s built in offline maps and or google maps. Both of these are designed to be battery friendly. Using a 3rd party map app you get less than half the battery life compared to suunto app/google map options.

@martin-vrska unfortunately not yet (you can of course see it in the phone’s suunto app). Bit like you, in an area where there aren’t a lot of suunto users. So I have found that the best thing is to check the heatmap options and have generally found that running and or cycling tend to be the most popular; and or change your zoom - instead of using nearby/neighborhood use Metropolatin/City.

@egika I have not had my S7 reboot in a long time. However, I do believe a small number of folks are experiencing this. Sorry, I do not know the cause.

@petter_ekvall Try changing the bedtime reminder. Set it to 1hr before you want to go to sleep. I think the reminder is helps it determine when your sleep period is, and thus better determine actual sleep.

@mjposner To remove - should be able to via the play store, and or go into settings, apps & notifications - app list. Press on app and scroll down to uninstall option. If not in app list then try system apps. Note you don’t need facebook messenger app to receive facebook messages on your watch (app is more around sticker use). Go into your phone’s wear os app, notifications and check and make sure that facebook messenger is set to allow notifications. If this is set and your receive notifications on your phone, they should now be mirrored on your watch (assuming you are connected to your phone). To make sure that your watch doesn’t drop bluetooth connection, make sure that the phones wear os app isn’t being optimized (refer to the sticky threads). If all of the above is done, and still no joy, then try restarting phone and watch. If done that and still no joy then you may need to start from scratch and reset your watch.

As of exactly midnight last night (software bug? ) - continuous HR stopped being logged, no sleep was tracked, with just a message in the tile this morning saying, “Something has gone, you might have to restart” (or similar). Restarted Watch and all ok, but it does feel like there are more instabilities now than previously - are Google pushing out changes behind the scenes that are not bullet proof perhaps?

In Aliexpress you can find TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) covers which fit very well the watch case as protection for any kind of sport/use, even barely bothers your eye when wearing it. Also you will find tempered protective film in case so. Both my partner and I are having them for our S9 and S7. Hoping this helps, here is a bit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002719324598.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.4dfd124fUci6Xb&algo_pvid=1a5efcf4-b58f-4534-b74b-caa232957ca9&algo_exp_id=1a5efcf4-b58f-4534-b74b-caa232957ca9-0 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001427427774.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.4dfd124fUci6Xb&algo_pvid=1a5efcf4-b58f-4534-b74b-caa232957ca9&algo_exp_id=1a5efcf4-b58f-4534-b74b-caa232957ca9-1

@manon-rasigni as long as you have set location to on, on the watch, then it should work without your phone (assume you are referring to getting GPS without the phone). Will say that sometimes it may take a while to get a GPS fix, and to sink all the data. My suggestion would be to sync your watch with your phone, then disconnect the watch, then go outside and wait for GPS connection. Preferably make sure that you are outside with a clear view of the sky (inside, right next to tall buildings/trees or under them then GPS may not get a fix- your phone isn’t either, but due to having wifi and mobile network connections its able to determine a position based on them without GPS working).
