@badreed Unfortunately, S9P cannot broadcast its HR measurements. That’s something I’d love to have, it would allow me to get rid of an external HR monitor on my long bike rides and still have HR displayed on my bike computer (Karoo2).

@simon for the paragliding app, some paragliding testers have already expressed their opinion to Suunto, that is similar to yours I feel.

@kpboy86 The notifications need to be set on the iPhone to appear on the lock screen. Otherwise the only notifications that will show are phone calls. You can specify most of these in the notification settings on the iPhone. Make sure that the watch is ok to receive notifications as well, directly on the watch. Finally check the BT menu in the iPhone, your watch should state “connected” otherwise notifications will not transmit.

@any87 you know you can lock the watch in pause mode also? Just keep pressing the lower right button like you normally do to lock the watch. Just don’t let go because then it will end the activity. It’s a thin line between success and failure

@vietpq of how many routes does your route consist? If you draw like 3 circles and run it 3 times, it should record these. If you draw 1 circle and run it 3 times it will record 1, bc it has nowhere to snap to, after you finish it

@xelo77 said in Thoughts after 8 months: Hi there, here are a few things I noticed during the last 8 months of using the blue S9p. I really like it. Raise to wake: pls. improve this, especially during exercises. GPS is very consistent, but it is constantly showing longer distances than the A3p and my Garmin bike computer do. It is not much, but 1 km is always about 1.01 - 1.03 km on the watch. It is counting way too many steps during the day. It seems to be quite ok during walking or running but it somehow keeps counting when not. Feature request: A warning (peep/vibra) when you resume an activity after a break but forget to press resume on the watch. I do not use auto-pause during hiking or trail running and way too often I forget to press resume after a break Feature Request: synching of moves and data in both directions. I would like to switch between the 9 and the 7 more often, so it would be great if the respectively missing data is then synched in both directions on both watches Wishlist: Suunto 9 Mk2 AMOLED with built-in maps! For #4 a fix is coming in the next update For the rest I agree, although I think the 9P is the most accurate watch I have for distance

@jannick Poor GPS signal strength due to bad weather/clouds/buildings/mountains can have that effect. I once had an extreme error/deviation in gained altitude, although normally the S9P is exceptionally exact … If it happened just once, I wouldn’t worry. And a deviation of 5% isn’t really bad …

@wyvern Hi, yes, this is known and acknowledged a bug by Suunto already. Don’t know about the priority and when it will be fixed though.

@wotus I believe steps are counted as part of overall basal metabolism. This aids in determining the total number of calories you expend, which includes exercise and whether you are sedentary or moving.

@anthony-guillemette This is a Suunto Design descision. There are data-rich watch faces and simpler ones. As of today there is no watch face designer (except for Suunto 7), as Suunto so far has used their development resources for other features.

@anthony-guillemette I believe these may be due to processor limitations but I am not sure. Since the HR is available in all screens except Navigation and Guides as the outer ring depicting zones, I do not find a graphical HR necessary.

@jacopastorius raise to wake is for the backlight, not the screen. I think your watch is doing fine

@seanvk My Stryd distance is always short and I have not tested whether auto Calibration fixes this.
