I have also been having issues with steps myself. I have a 9PP, and I was walking on my desk treadmill even walking for 2 hours at 1.0 (which should be 2 miles) I got 700 steps.
While I definitely think the improvements to not be as sensitive to every wrist flick is great, I think the scaling went a little too far where it will track accurately if I’m actually using gps or doing a jog and really moving my arms/motion.
This happens for a entire 3 or 4 hours when doing single lap of 1000 to 1500m of vertical gain.
Are you maybe using poles? Sometimes I experienced a sort of cadence locking, therefore wrong HR readings, while training with poles on steep climbs (the watch was properly tightened up above the wrist bone).
@deserthike20 I don’t think so at the moment.
Since Suunto+ features actually can be loaded independently from the watch firmware, it could actually make sense to be able to use S+ features when in watch mode. Let’s see where this whole S+ thing will lead. I am sure Suunto has some cool ideas about it 🙂
@Egika I see.
How can man get in and became a field tester? I would love to join to supporting Suunto by this way, since I’m using their products in a daily basis. 😉
But anyway, thanks, for escalated this issue and helped me too.
Hello, the same for me. I’m just waiting for battery to empty, then I will do the measurements like @Janne-Leppamaki did. Will post it here. I have bought it 9PP in July 2023. And yes, everything went worse installing 2.20.38.
Hi. I have just tested my SR in alpine skiing and everything works well, except the CO2 value and the number of descents which do not correspond at all.
I use, as sport mode, trail running when I go to the trails, flat or steep and I use running when I run in concrete, asphalt or an even surface, but it can have as ascent as any trail run. Usually this differentiation correlates with the types of shoes that I wear.
I mean, I can run, using running sports mode, in the steep streets of San Francisco and 3D distance should be considered.
@zhang965 I will for sure, back when I had the s9b I’ve had a similar issue and my watch was send to suunto where they noticed a hardware issue with hr sensor and gps unit. Thanks for suggestions!
hello everyone and thanks for the replies. I’ve searched but haven’t found anything related to vibration problems. mine is the stainless steel version, so i think it’s not just the titanium versions
Those are not depth sensors, depth and altitude come from the same sensor. Those are service pins, let’s try to not spread fake news here.
@krakra if you have a damage of any kind, ask support if they can help. A damaged watch is usually your fault, so you may have to pay for service, but they can probably fix your watch.
I have similar problem, but little bit different. I can only see one Strava segment in my Suunto App. It is always the first listed in “Starred segments” on Strava. I have tried to un-star, re-star both, then the same combined strava disconnection, still the same. Don’t you have any idea why? I think I should see them more on 9 Peak Pro.
