@Ultrarunner you can upload routes in GPX, or create them in the app, or send them from Strava, Komoot, etc. You can follow TP workouts, the watch beeps and vibrates at the beginning of a step. Stryd works, also the native wrist power, and you can use power workouts (natively, this is one thing that Suunto supported much earlier than Garmin).

@GiPFELKiND said in GPS Signal suddenly wrong Position: Should i stop a workout/ make pause when i going in a rooms, market etc?! yes imagine your watch always needs to see the sky. trees are already a challenge but good devices can handle it. what you do is basically flying blind and you expect your watch to know exactly where it is after it lost satellite connection for several minutes.

@seanvk Just to say that watch has two settings : one range for sleeping times AND one range for automatic DND. They may not be the same depending on your situations.

@Max-maxilifeguard Button and screen lock While recording an exercise you can lock the buttons by keeping the lower button pressed and then select Lock. Once locked, you cannot perform any action that requires button interaction (create laps, pause/end exercise etc.), but it is possible to scroll the display views and you can turn on the backlight with any button press if the backlight is in automatic mode. To unlock everything, keep the lower button pressed again. When you are not recording an exercise, the screen locks and dims after one minute of inactivity. To activate the screen, press any button. The screen also goes to sleep (blank) after a period of inactivity. Any movement turns the screen on again.

@joacoastete I sometimes have the same with my S9. Honestly, I’m not sure that the watch is at fault, perhaps it’s just the vertical analogue of the coastal paradox: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coastline_paradox&ved=2ahUKEwjj0p_errSBAxUKQvEDHYLfC-0QFnoECAwQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0XtcxpYkHpieszmKKlYzeg If you want to make sure the altitude is correct, you could go the same route a few more times to at least check if it’s consistent.

@Jan-Van-de-Velde Welcome in our suunto community. I share most of your remarks and I can say they are spread in several different posts in this forum already. Let’s hope this will get read and suunto developers will decide to address some.

@Smuk_007 please notice that this is a user forum. Suunto company representatives are following the discussion in here, but will not give any comments. Some users know more about what is being developed , but they must keep their mouths shut. Remarks: Many have requested the same for a long time. I see this as a teeny-weeny minor flaw considering my personal preferences why I chose this brand and model. Nothing to fix. Suunto Vertical does not use SuuntoLink. Vertical syncs the activities and AGPS-files with Suunto App using bluetooth and the maps and firmware updates come over wifi when connected to the charger. Sorry, no idea. I don’t use custom modes. Suggestions Good idea! I hope they will pick up this suggesstion. The map is always there for outdoor sports modes. This is the way!

@Stijn There is a dedicated sportmode “windsurfing” in both watch and app. What exactly are you looking for in terms of datafields?

There’s a cloud of mystery around the algorithms. Suunto is not telling anything except this clause in their online documentation that VO2max estimate will appear after any run or walk longer that 15 mins. Later on when you do more exercises the number should get more accurate. Previously they were using FirstBeat algorithm and it was a known fact that hiking or trekking was not optimal for the calculation, the result would be more reliable on flat terrain. Many people were criticising why VO2maz was enabled for trekking at all. Now that we got the update we know even less. I am not aware if it is available for trekking at all. My own experiences are just awful. Before this week’s update I had a crash and my watch lost completely VO2max estimate. Now it is not appearing anymore no matter what I do. I’ve done flat terrain runs and forest walks, long ones and short ones and VO2max just fails to appear. I am planning on doing a factory reset next.
