My steps and calories reset every night and always have. The watch is not meant to be turned off at night. The battery lasts so long why do you need to turn the watch off? If you wear the watch at night you will get much better recovery data.

@Niclas-Brundell the previous sync issue did not affect all users but just a percentage of them, in fact even in the forum most users did not have the issue (me included). In case your watch is still having issues after the update, notify support because something may be wrong with your watch. Or you just have another kind of issue. Anyway when you have issues pairing, instead of starting the process over and over again, first reboot both your watch and your phone, as there may be something stuck in the Bluetooth stack.

@adosun Yes, it is. I think the amount of sport modes and data fields are identical on the S9 and Vertical. Only speed, avg speed and distance are available in nm. Max speed isn’t

@IvoStu check that you removed the association in the Vertical connexion menu (remove pairing with previous SA instance). check that your vertical is well in discovery mode = on

Locking to avoid duplicates There are already a lot of discussions about vertical, battery and so on. Try with a search e.g https://forum.suunto.com/search?in=titlesposts&term=experience&matchWords=all&by=&categories[]=45&searchChildren=false&hasTags=&replies=&repliesFilter=atleast&timeFilter=newer&timeRange=&sortBy=relevance&sortDirection=desc&showAs=posts

Did you delete those ghost routes in the app while they were still toggled ON for the watch and THEN sync? If so, this has worked for me on other watches (A3P, SSU): Toggle the maximum number of your App’s routes (15) onto the watch and sync. Check to see that those ghosts have been overwritten. Toggle all the routes back OFF the watch and sync again. Check to see that the ghosts are gone. With the A3P this sometimes took a few attempts.

@nilsi Have you tried the Movement S+ app? Although tailored perhaps for ball sports it seems this would be a good choice. Try it and see how it works.

@lilaceo why you did an hard reset? search the forum (“15 routes”) and you’ll find a way to fill the watch with new routes to delete those zombies

@Olaf-D what you describe is a watch reset to factory state, it should not happen after a normal firmware update. Forget your watch in the app, maybe reboot your phone, and it should work.

@klodovic I had this with the iPhone. Go to BT disable completely the BT and restart the phone. If this does not help go to connectivity in the watch and remove the paired mobile app. Re-pair again.

I’m also interested. I’d like to see the information field on map to be : smaller customizable (for me altitude would be a more interesting field than remaining distance)

@mickywickyftw yes, snorkeling shows you the depth and the dives, openwater swimming is just swimming.

@Medic1559 a little bit of research before the purchase could have saved you from a lot of surprises. My guess is that you’re coming from a Suunto Traverse. As far as I know this was/is the only watch with a red backlight. The vertical doesn’t have one. You can’t increase the font on the watch face. In activity recording you can create a custom sportmode and define less fields. This will result in bigger fonts There is no store for watch faces. The ones in the watch are the only one Coordinate format options are still the same
