@sartoric so maybe there’s a language barrier thing going on. As a gear reviewer, I try to use the device like a normal customer would. This means, if I have issues, I try to resolve the issues using the methods that a regular customer would have. A regular customer does not have a PR contact to reach out to. Yes, part of my review experience includes customer service and issue resolution. I emailed support-en@suunto.com with my issue and detailed my troubleshooting attempts. It took them 4 days to respond. Their response included repeating all of the troubleshooting steps that I already took and then suggested that I reach out to Samsung to revert my phone OS to a previous version that would allow me to connect to the Wing 2. (super problematic advice for many reasons) So, I went to the forum hoping I’d get some help with escalating this as a bug request. Instead, I received unhelpful and frankly rude exchanges. I did finally reach out to my PR contact, who then went to Suunto and they duplicated my issue and recommended a solution. I had to find another device that could connect to the Wing 2 and update the Wing 2 software to the current version. Once I did that, I was able to connect the headphones to my phone. So again, the issue was with Suunto out of the box programming and had nothing to do with me or my phone. Again, a normal person wouldn’t have had access to the resolution, which is a huge problem

@JANTIKAINEN Polar claim that the Verity Sense can broadcast up to 150m. They don’t specify whether that is for the ANT+ or Bluetooth connection, so I assume both. I’ve never tested it and I don’t know what team sports you play but that should be sufficient for most if you can leave your watch at the edge of the pitch/court.

@Stefano-M64 said in Small wrists (14cm) armbands?: @Luis-Andés-Olmedo said in Small wrists (14cm) armbands?: @Stefano-M64 thanks!!! if you buy it, be careful that there are 3 bars “hidden” inside a tiny box within the package … Thanks! I do not think I will buy that… I am looking for one with “quick fit” system. With the Coros one I need to put the bars and remove them if I want to use the Suunto band… I’ve not found yet a strap for 13-14cm…

@Legin25 Here’s how I set the sensors up. I put a spacer under the one on the crank to move it closer the the main body - hopefully the pictures are clear enough. @psychopengy for a short moment let’s play with an idea that your Orca-Pioneer was marked just like your handheld Silva: imagine that zero was right below N and 180 was right below S. Now imagine securing this kind of compass to the bow of your kayak so that the compass window and that notch in the housing faces back, towards you. If you were paddling straight towards north with a compass like this which number would be there under that yellowish or reddish line in the housing? It would be 180 but that’s wrong!!! You were heading north, but the stupid marine compass says you are going to the direction of 180 degrees! That is why the N E S W letters and their corrensponding numbers must be on the opposite sides. This is the logic: marine compasses are always secured in place on the vessel so that the colorful line in the window faces back (or aft). You can look at the marine compass straight from above and you’ll see the compass rose (direction of north, east, south and west), but the numbers under that colorful line ALWAYS indicate which way your bow is pointing! Just mount your Orca-Pioneer to the bow of your kayak (not right under your nose, but really to the bow) and start paddling. The number under that line keeps showing the direction you’re headed. When moving north it’ll show zero while the letter N on the compass rose is on the opposite side. I hope this explained the logic. Back in the days I used to have a scuba diving compass on my wrist and that worked just like marine compasses. There were actually two windows, one above and one on the side. From the top window I could see the compass rose and raising my wrist right in front of my face the side window indicated my heading. [image: 1698384205488-suunto-sk-7.png]

@luke55 I have found Velcro straps give me better OHR readings than the Silicone ones. You can order 22mm velcro straps from Amazon and pins to add for holding the band. You won’t be able to change bands quickly but I prefer the Velcro bands.

This would be a good idea because the current offer for cyclists is very poor - e.g. sensors, import and integration of activities from other services and devices.

@Christophe-Roos I can confirm your observation: I have a Suunto watch and when it ran out of battery once, I thought I use the Smart Sensor belt on its own, with the app (this is possible with the Polar belt and the Polar Beat app). The app offers to record an exercise, but one cannot couple sensors to the app. You definitely need a Suunto watch between the app and the Smart Sensor.

@vinc14 Maybe because they have decided it according to market and default size for almost everyone is M. If not, they probably would need inventory for something they might not sold. Just guessing.
