      🔺New software update for S9P-S9B-S9-S5P-S5 and S3 devices 2.20.28🔺

      • SuuntoPlusTM Guides support for S9P-S9B-S9-S5P-S5 and S3⭐️⭐️⭐️
This new functionality gives us the sync of intervals, workouts, race planning or anything else we can create on our partner platforms such as TrainingPeaks, Nolio, AIENDURANCE, Intervals.icu… We will also have Suunto’s own guides such as the Zegama Aizkorri planning or Running Form Drills.

      • VO2MAX optimized for Trail Running

      • S9P ONLY: Wrist detection for heart rate measurement. The watch can detect whether it is on or off wrist and will not measure the heart rate if no wrist is detected. This functionality works both during exercising and daily activity tracking.

      • WHR toggle remembered

      • Multiple bug fixes.

Is it planned to create the workouts just with SA?

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos oh, btw, is the new vO2max algo also being applied for hiking? Since, you know, there are quite a few elevation changes compared to walking.

Once you update your watches the Suunto app will pop the new Guides feature FYI

“WHR toggle remembered” and “whr wrist detection” - this just made my day. For some of us little things like this mean a lot 🙂

@mountainchris if you toggle the WHR in a sport, it remembers the configuration. So if you don’t want WHR, you don’t have to do it every time.

@mountainchris the watch remembers the last state of the wrist HR sensor. If on your last activity you chose wrist HR off then it will be off by default on the next activity.
No more pushing buttons before every run.

@isazi thanks. Is switching from WHR to belt / belt to WHR possible during activity ?

Oh, so the S5 is still being updated. Nice. Wasn’t expecting that.

It’s interesting that first there was a new ascent algo, which allowed for new VO2MAX algo.

Was the bug related to burner and switching navigation fixed?

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Are there bugfixes S9P WHR? Last weekend I was hiking and had values way too low. In the beginning it was maybe little bit cold. But later very warm. But values didn’t went correct. With running i had good experiences in past in mild conditions.
