@jugger Same here. The vibration is quite noisy.
I like it better then the S9B vibration

The same with my watch. In comparison with S9B, vibration on S9P is audible and a little noisy. I was suprised and worried about it, but based on your responses, it seems it’s normal.

@orzechszek yes seems normal, at least for some watches. For me little bit noisy. Not 100% a premium feel.

–> Main point are notification alerts. SW could be a solution to shorten these alerts…

for me is also a little annoying. As you said - not a premium feeling 🙂 , but my S9B is already sold, so I must accept that fact. Fortunately it seems it’s not an issue.

@mountainchris as If S9B had a premium vibration motor.
To me all eccentric vibration motors feel rather cheap. But linear resonator takes up much more space, so I’m okay with it.

@dmytro sitting calm and getting many notifications is worst case. All other alerts are ok. I think vibration could be shorter via sw update. Other S9P vibrations aren’t so dominant. Could also be a user adjustment.

this was requested many times for S9B… it was mentioned that vibration is too weak… I don’t know the vibration of S9P, but I have the feeling that the vibration of S7 is pretty solid.
But not all vibration modules are the same. When I take my phone experience as an example I hated the Nokia 7.2 vibration, but I really like the solidness of Pixel 4a 5g vibration. And I can adjust the strength, too.

@freeheeler exactly, that’s because pixel has linear resonator. Which is btw not the most luxurious type, but good enough. I’d love to see that in future suunto’s. After all, apple has somehow managed to squeeze a good vibration motor in.

@freeheeler Vibration of the S9P is very good (in my opinion). Stronger than the S9B.

@isazi said in Vibrating watch body and customizing shortcuts menu:

Second question: When holding the middle button, I can access the shortcuts menu, which then lets me choose e.g. settings. Is there a way to customize the shortcuts I’m seeing there? I’d really wish I could directly access the “Power saving” mode there - without first entering “Setting > General > Power saving”.

                        No.

any change (if any) since then? I mean shortcuts customization
