Software update 2.23.20 (All S watches except S9 Peak Pro)
-
We were hyped by the possibility to have new S+ apps at any time, outside of firmware releases but so far, there haven’t been any new apps … so …
-
@taziden wdym, there are a lot of new s+ apps in the latest beta. Well, in fact, since 3 month i think.
-
@DMytro nothing new in the store since the store has been introduced
-
@taziden well, ok, this is not quite true either. Weren’t activelook and core apps ‘activated’ quite recently?
I think we’ll get some new stuff soon enough, possibly tied to the firmware update.
In addition, I bet suunto is now slighltly more focused on bringing the training hub to life. -

“possibly tied to the firmware update”. One of the main argument about the new Store was that we wouldn’t have to wait for new fw release to have new apps.
I might be wrong but for me ActiveLook and Core were there since the beginning or not much after.
I’m not saying Suunto should hastily release more stuff but it’s a bit disappointing not seeing the store more active as the takeaway message when it was introduced was “yeah, we won’t have to wait 3 or 6 months to have new stuff now!”. Indeed, stuff can pop up at any time. That doesn’t mean it will pop up more often.
I guess that’s a consequence of the lack of a public roadmap from Suunto. Sometimes we get our hopes up and are disappointed. Not necessarily Suunto’s entire fault but it still happens nonetheless. -
Race time S+ app is there now, not sure when it was made available, just noticed today
-
@Frederick-Rochette I don’t know, I see it is still being tested.
-
@Mi_chael finally back to testing after the developers fixed some issues.

Ok my bad, didn’t see it. It’s hidden in the list of “NEW” apps which are not new anymore.

I’m really looking for that
-
@suzzlo although I’m trying not to set my hopes too high.
-
There is a lot of apps coming up.
I coded one for you (and me ) as well HR Zones (time in )
But at the moment we are in a bottle neck of too much development and deployment to be honest.
In fieldtest we have tons of apps. I think maybe Suunto is trying to thin down the apps to introduce the quality ones first.

Glad to hear it. Thanks Dimitrios! And even if I sound to complain, I’m a huge supporter of the approach of delivering quality over quantity.
-
@taziden no worries man. Please do complain. That’s nothing. I have started the forums , before SA was a thing and still MC was around. At that point such complaints would have been compliments
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Great news

Any news about Strava Live Segments ?
-
@Mi_chael they are being tested, when they will be available Suunto will announce it (and possibly also Strava).
