S9P gets stuck in the "Saving" screen after finishing a session

@surfboomerang
I was about to say the opposite : workaround to saving issues was to enable the feeling option . Or I mixed things? -
@surfboomerang I use default sport modes, feeling is always on. I had no issues with recording 100km trail run, 380km bike ride etc. So I had no problems recording long activities. Memory had to be overwriten long time ago
@Mff73 I think so, feelings on = good

@Brad_Olwin Yes, it was a pro model. I’ve done several hundred workouts with it since October and this happened for the first time (on Saturday). And then the second time on last Monday - a short stretching session. Strange case.
Lately the writing process has been taking an unbearably long time. A reset did not change anything. I also deleted most of the structured training, but that doesn’t seem to have any effect either. Maybe I should go back to factory settings? I just don’t want to set everything from the beginning.
I’m a little concerned about all this. Now every time I wonder if the training will be saved or not

@aroo7 Same here, happened Yesterday for the second time after a routine 55’ minute run. Had to reset and lost activity.
-
@fluca very strange, can we get a description of what happened? Things like teh sport mode, if using external sensors (and which), feelings enabled or not, other options.
-
@isazi Of course. I have used a custom running sport mode. Used a POLAR H10 as external HR monitor.
Feeling was on. I am not 100% sure but I remember I logged it as ‘good’. After that tried to move on and saving but the display was stuck on saving mode. I waited approx. 20 minutes then I reset the watch by long pressing top right button. -
Suunto guys, any news here, maybe what is causing this? I don’t expect a fix in a week, just to know if it is something we can do or is it completely random. Do you recommend doing factory reset before big race to reduce possibility of this happening?
-
So, are chances of stuck in saving screen lower after factory reset? I have 30h-35h activity at weekend and I would like to have it saved… No more stuck after two in 4 days a month ago…

My S9PP was getting progressively slower. The UI, starting and ending an exercise. It got to the point where it was hanging on the Saving screen. I performed a factory reset and now the watch is like day 1. Frustrating but solved the issue - for now.

Yes my s9pp 's gps gets worse and worse.
I had the same experience with S9B/p/pp
-
@jasoncuddy thanks for your input, I just took photos of all settings and I am currently reseting the watch.

Having the same issue, ending an activity and S9PP stuck on saving screen, only a soft reset waked her up. Had the same issue with my Sparten Sport and was hoping the new one wouldn’t have that. Also saving on my S9PP takes longer than usual, everything seems to work fine. But still, I was hoping to get rid of this error with the S9PP

@jasoncuddy The problem with that is the lack of a back-up of the personalized sports/screens in the app. You need to create them againg, a pain in the…

JIt’s why I only use default sport mode now, I’m ready to reset my watch any moment

A new firmware should come soon, if we trust the rumors. Let’s see if it’s better and if not send logs and we can report it to Suunto.
-
@Efejota Yes, I agree.
