for me the Vertical is the new beast! body to screen ratio is great

@Tieutieu retail shops have it in stock already, but they canāt sell it before Tuesday. I have one reserved and can pick it up Monday end of day.

Yep, I attached the screenshot pic of the S9B Titaniumās measurements because I had assumed all S9 Baroās were the same size - which theyāre clearly not. So Iāve learnt something new for today

Iāve always been a mechanical watch guy, have a few nice pieces now and generally my Suunto is reserved for just training and racing. Will be interesting to see if that changes when the Vertical turns arrives in my mailbox

Juste received my vertical yesterday.
I was already wearing my S9b h24ā¦
guess what ?! Itās not gonna change with the Vertical.
Even it is 5g heavier than my sb9 titanium, it is not noticeable and it is/it feels really less bulkier ont the wrist.

beefy is beautiful
I have small wrists and pretty fine with the dimensions of the S9B. If the Vertical has nearly the same dimensions it works very well as everyday watch. Often it is just a question og getting used to something and I now wouldnāt go back to a smaller watch. -
Hello everyone,
I just received mine and love it. It is slightly larger than my Garmin Epix 2 (which I never liked but has a better screen than the Baro which I could no more read while running)
The watch is perfectly fine for my medium/small wrist and the screen is a lot clearer to read making it a perfect match for my needs and aesthetics.
But other than the watchās physical characteristics Iād like to add a couple more things to the everyday watch comments.
- it would be nice to have more than one alarm
- some type of adjustment for the backlight during sleep hours. The whole room lights up every time I move my hand which can be annoying. Maybe a setting for not activating the backlight while in do not disturb mode would be nice. If you want to check the time during the night press any button to activate.
- notifications, it would be nice to separate calls and msgs, while on watch mode or activity. Like the garmin does.
- quicker access to the flashlight by double clicking.
I know some of these features have been mentioned before but id like to bring them to your attention once again.

@nassoscal have you updated the firmware to .48? It should not light up the backlight when raising your wrist in DND mode. Pls confirm and maybe share your backlight settings and FW version.

@Marius-Jacobsen-Eggerud it is a larger watch but I like it. As I said I went to Garmin since I had trouble reading the 9b display. The Garmin was better but now I have no problem with the Vertical and prefer the screen actually.
Only on some really small numbers, I have to extend my arm to see them clearly but that is no real problem since it is only an exception.
The first thing I noticed though, but only at the beginning, was that I could feel the buttons on my hand when my wrist was in an angle. pushing against my hand, but with some adjustment, it did not bother me.
overall Iām much happier with the vertical. A much better menu system, with all I need. I never used the wallet or music on the Garmin.

Although I miss Live Track/ Strava Beacon and Spotify. But on most long runs I carry my phone with me anyways. -
@lessthanmore one thing I will miss though is the fall/accident alert the Garmin had (when I had the phone with me) which I had the āpleasureā to test and it actually worked really well!

@Egika watch now has .48 and works as designed. Backlight will not go on when moving my hand.

@nassoscal The Fall detection is cool, but then you have to carry your phone all the time. If not: Useless feature. The only watch with a real useful fall detection is the Apple Watch.

Have now bought the normal Vertical All Black. On the first glance when I tried it in the shop I was really unsure about the size. But then I took it with me and tried it several times during the day.
It is really a thing of getting used to it. And now after two days I think it is good.
The first bike ride using maps was really nice. I think the maps implementation is spot on.
Really satisfied with my decision. -
@harry08 In my opinion the comfort is very good and at least better than the S9B. What I like are the smaller buttons. With the S9B I had the issue that especially when wearing gloves I āusedā the buttons without wanting it. Seems like this wonāt be an issue with the Vertical. I have to test it som moore

@lessthanmore onboard music really smashed the battery (both on my Garmin and my Suunto 7), so not having this feature is not a big deal for me. I only listen to music/podcasts when training and even then, its always via my phone. For me manufacturers make a big deal of having music storage and itās a false economy. I donāt feel itās the big ticket item many people make it out to be (Chasethesummit, DC Rainmaker etc). Iād much sooner have a long battery life.
Besides, my phone will store far more songs/podcasts etc
