New Suunto watch coming
-
@taziden sync via nfc would be kinda cool actually. Should be faster than bt. Or maybe not, I see bt smart is up to 1MB/s, while nfc is about 400KB/s
-
Few leaks during the neighborhood race in France
-
By the picture look like it’ll be bigger than the vertical and having 24mm bands

And here I was hoping for a smaller Vertical
-
Made in China? Suunto moved away from Made in Finland?
-
@Dušan-Ković damn, you’re right! That’s a shame… I wonder if everything will migrate to china, or a portion will stay in finland. Also what about the sustainable path suunto decided to take with the last few models.
-
@DMytro I noticed this as well. But label says “ShenzenTesting Lab” so I assume (hope) they are using facilities in China to optimize development costs and will keep producing in Finland
-
With the acquisition of liesheng more financially straightened the ship. Finland will stay for top-of-the-range models ?
-
@Dušan-Ković Some previous Suunto models were also made in China… Like my Spartan Trainer… Which ended like this:
-
@Dušan-Ković should be send to the lab in China for testing. Doesn’t mean manufacture in China~
-
It would be great to have some pure trailer run model
-
Is it a new series of watches or some kind of successor to S5?
Perhaps a competitor of Apex series of Coros or the Forunner? -
@babychai If you take a better look of the photos there is print on the back side - Designed in Finland - Made in China
-
@Dušan-Ković plus I don’t think anyone would bother to write ‘made in China’ on a few test models just for the sake of it.
-
@babychai on the back side of the watch you can read… Made in China
-
@DMytro If we remember S3F, it was made in China, and few years later we got S3 made in Finland. Both were pretty much same watches, but Finland one had better build quality and materials. My wife had S3F which died, and later she got S3, which my sister uses for few years now.

@Egika I had tried the Coros Vertix 2 less summer and didn’t like it at all (basically the UX/UI and backend stuff), but on the topic of scroll-wheel it was a bit of a gimmick. It was OK, but I ended up programming it so it was more of a touch button than a scroll wheel. It did not make it easier to use - just different.
-
If it’s legit, I am wondering if they used the same (meaning SLOW) display like in Vertical. It’s going to be fun to scroll through the menu…
-
Vertix / Vertical
Pace / RaceIs there a pattern here?

@Łukasz-Szmigiel next model must be a summit then XD
