Disclaimer: that not official, not a promise, and no one empowered me to write this (and we’ll see if someone says I cannot 🙂 ), but my own view:

Following comments of @tomasbartko @mikekoski490 and to reassure a bit:

        • Upcoming new watch is not a replacement for Suunto Vertical, but a device with somewhat different positioning and some different hardware choices
        • Suunto Vertical will obviously receive an FW update with many nice additions (I assume soon after new watch release). Both Vertical and upcoming watch has the same FW version in testing

Opinions expressed are solely my own and do not express the views or opinions of my employer

@pavel-samokha I really hope this is the case. Suunto Vertical ticks all the boxes for me and I don’t care about payments, autonomous music or other lifestyle features which might come with the new watch. So, hopefully the Vertical will be supported for some time to come.

Not that much to see. Just imagine a vertical with a rolling button in place of the middle one 😛

Just thinking about the letters and numbers that accompany the name of this new watch, OW224. That wouldn’t be indicating February 2024?

                        S9B: OW183, launched 06/2018
                        S9P: OW194, launched 06/2021
                        S9PP: OW211, launched 11/2022

                        Probably not then…

                        SV: fingers crossed :D
S9 (non-baro): died after 2 months, replaced, holding strong since 03/20
Spartan Trainer: casing broke after 23 months, repaired, lost watertightness 5 months later, died
Despite some pretty bad luck, I still love Suunto!

With everything going on with my old SV (and apparently with the new replacement) I have to ask: will the ‘crashing’ feature be included in the new watch? 😠

@Hristijan-Petreski yes! Everone is working hard to introduce as many crashing scenarios as possible…

@Egika Better question would be: What value does new watch bring when the old one is not working as it should!

@Hristijan-Petreski to stay on the level you have just introduced here:
the value it brings is that it will finally be the one device working in the way all previous models should have…

Seriously: I understand that you obviously have experienced some issues with your Vertical. Sarcasm is understood but it is not a general issue as hundreds of users are happy with the current models. Including me 🙂

@Egika Great, I am happy that you enjoy your watch as others do, on the other hand I am on the second replacement and like ‘others’ in this forum experiencing crashes (now even outside of any activity).
But I get the ‘works on my PC’ mentality having SW background.
