@Kostas-Zinelis I am pretty sure you can’t answer calls with it at all. I read it nowhere in the specs! You‘ll get notified about a call, but you would answer via the phone

if used together with an iPhone, you can choose to decline or answer the incoming call, like with Suunto watches before. Of couse you need to speak into your phone after this.

I got SR today and now SV feels like a 2 years old watch 😕

              really?
I’m using both and I think they’re very similar, despite the screen technology.
I’m frequently using other Suunto watches, too

but we can’t discuss the fact away that the Race IS the newer watch 🙂

Received my Race Ti today and I’m very impressed. Finally back to Suunto after a couple of years with Garmin and a few months with Polar! Will be doing a trail long run tomorrow.

First run under my belt with the race. Watch usage is very intuitive and easy to use. No major learning curves. Addition of the dial is a major win. The Race has been tweaked a little and does sit slightly flatter and the lugs do not dig into my wrist bone like the vertical which was my only reason for returning that watch. The watch feels high quality but it does not feel as substantial as the vertical. Not sure why that is. Not a bad thing but feels different. The screen is brilliant. Now for the lag…what lag? This watch is fine. I’m sure if I stared at the watch long enough I’d notice a flicker here and there. Like I’ve said before…stop staring at your watch and get your ass out the door and go for a run. I do also like how they have slightly rounded upper portion of the watch. The vertical looked a little too flat when looking at the watch. Overall great first impressions and excited for Suunto. I can now stop complaining about the shipping delays.

great to read and glad you’re happy.
what do you mean by “not as substantial as Vertical”?

Just wondering… anyone find the scroll way too responsive ? I asked because I have been using the apex 2 pro and the suunto scroll is so responsive that I cannot land at the widget I want to see and often either overshoot or undershoot.

As i wrote here: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/9584/display-flipping-for-right-hand , the only thing i hate is that i can’t wear it on my right hand.

@freeheeler The Vertical felt very hefty in the hand and while I know the weight of the titanium Race and Vertical are almost identical, I swear the Race feels much lighter. After wearing to bed last night I woke up and almost thought I forgot to wear the watch. For the last month I’ve been wearing the Apple Watch Ultra exclusively and I can report the Race is much better to sleep with.

from the specs it is slightly lighter.
most of my watches are titanium, but some also steel. the weight difference between Vertical Ti and Race Ti is noticeable if you focus to feel it. but the difference e.g. between Vertical steel and Ti is significant
nevertheless I find the Race Ti a solid piece with a great haptic

Hello, for those that have the Race, how is sleep tracking accuracy and HR accuracy? I have seen some videos questioning the accuracy of these. I would mostly wear an external HR monitor during workouts, but am curious about the accuracy of these. Thanks stuck between Garmin Epix and Race.

@surfratt Hello guys, I had the Epix pro and switched to Suunto Race. I actually don’t regret it. The race looks and feels much nicer - “tidy”

@surfratt Sleep tracking has worked very nice with me so far. Nailed the actual sleep and wake up time, while REM and deep sleep times seem reasonable (you can only measure those accurately in a lab).
Heart rate sensor works well in the everyday life, but with certain sports (weight lifting, riding a bike) there are moments when it fails to catch the heartbeat completely and then a moment later is fairly accurate, but I’d suggest a chest strap to get accurate measurement no doubt.

How do you find it compared to the pro and what’s better? I’m doing the same but not sure it’ll work!
Is there a lag on the wrist action when running?
                                      Cheers

@David-Lown I’ve always worn a chest strap when running because the OHR is always out of order with all manufacturers. Since I have a fairly narrow hanging handlebar, the Race is actually more comfortable to wear than the Epix. I currently don’t regret the decision.

Between S9P, S9PP there was a marginal improvement but SV felt much more modern and now SR with its amoled super responsiveness and customized buttons like on S7 as my ultimate everyday carry. I have however noticed my calorie consumption has lowered as much as 20% on same route with same personal parameters. I wonder if calorie includes basal metabolic consumption or just activity?

My usual morning trail run SV vs SR with 2nd gen Stryd:
