i may read that the new Suunto Race straps are softer than previous ones.

The Race silicone straps are not really softer, they are more stretchy, due to more grooves.

Do anyone here have the lime green version of the 22 mm Athletic 5 silicone strap by Suunto? I keep getting confused, on some pictures it appear very bright lime/neon yellow but on others comes across as rather pale. Would like to see some good pictures showing more truly it’s accurate colours? I only want it if it is a bright colourway…

I got a “Wocci” wristband from amazon link, the nylon woven in blue

Pretty nice overall, very comfortable to watch and the “eslasticness” make it easy to have it relatively tight without soreness, the color is a bit dull
Only complain is that I’m basically at the very very limit in terms of size (minimum), I have 165mm wrists, so, relatively slender wrist, bu that means that any woman will have a hard time getting it to fit, if the strap could be 1-2cm shorter that would be really “unisex” (despite that they advertise it as being unisex.

@Jonathan-C It is arrived and it is comfortable and airy just like the original one. The RED one, I must admit is not ideal when you are dressed for office. It’s a punch in the eye (as we use to say in Italy).

My favorites are the Athletic and the Microfiber. The latter is very comfortable during work days

Would anyone be able to compare the feel of the different watch straps available from Suunto right now? I have a S9PP with the Ocean Blue (Athletic 3 Silicone Strap) that it comes with, but I find it a little stiff and less comfortable compared to the straps from my previous Suunto watches.

Are the current silicone straps all basically the same in terms of feel? Or are there significant differences? Are the urban or vertical ones softer? I would like to try the microfiber one but the blue has been out of stock for a while.

my opinion: I have worn my friend’s Race and the strap is much more comfortable than the ones available on the suunto store. Unfortunately, it is not yet available. The microfiber one is also very comfortable but it’s a sort of “meh” when used for activities

@Greennorth I have been using almost all kind of models with my S9B (microfiber, leather, nylon, silicone…) and now just 3 different ones with my SV (original SV ones : Green Forest/Orange/Lime/black, Athletics 5 suunto branded - which seems similar to Athletics 3, and an Urban 4).

Among all, the Athetics 5 is the softer to me.
It seems like @robis said that the SR strap is better. I wait for it.

I didn’t got a microfiber again because I wasn’t convinced with it on my S9B : maybe the watch was too heavier and bulky for it, and it got durty very fast. I’d never used it for training.

I was looking for new strap since my Orange Canyon is a bit worn. I like “Athletic 5” yellow and pearl white, and wanted to decide to take one of them, but found there’s version for ambassadors, like here posted with red triangle. Do we know if its gonna be released for everyone? Like Baro strap can be bought nowadays. If not I’ll choose one of these without that little Suunto mark

Well I must say I ordered both, arrived yesterday - couldn’t decide. White and Lime (this one is great). I must say quality for this high (!) price is great. Both are very comfortable and soft. I wonder if its better quality than standard Vertical strap (I got Orange Canyon). I checked one month Suunto 9PP black strap and my 0.5 year orange Vertical straps and both are much different in touch. I dont know if they are just worn by wearing, water, sweat and washing, but I dont remember them so nice as brand new. Iam very glad

@Tami999 As you I have the Canyon (never used), the lime (used from day one (two months ago) and since two days I’m using the the white one with my SV Ti, these bands are very nice. The original one, the Canyon, look thinner and less robust than the Athletic 5 ones.

@Tami999 the original Vertical bands (the ones you get with the watch) and these Suunto branded ones are different technology and design.
