has anyone used the textile strap on vertical? (and possibly on ti version?)
I am very much interested in SUUNTO 22MM EXPLORE 1 TEXTILE STRAP but I cannot seem to find any real world photos with the Vertical

      Thanks in advance

One of my straps is that forest green one. It was very stiff in the beginning and the edges felt even sharp. But the more I use it the better it feels; it just takes time to break in, just like Doc Martens boots. I wear mine night and day (not the boots though).

@thanasis do you know if the textile strap helps to improve OHR readings? I have tried with an unofficial one and the readings are even worse for me.

I’m new with the SV Ti. I love this watch, it’s incredible good but the OHR is the worst OHR sensor I have had in many years (Garmin, Coros and even the latest Amazfit watches are far better when reading OHR). Despite of that this is the best watch I have ever had

Usually, for most people, it does, but it’s not 100% fail proof.

I’m very ok with the microfiber one.

I am using the microfiber on non sports-related activities but it gets wet and smelly quite easily
I have ordered the textile one and waiting for it. Will report when i receive it

I do not have any textile strap but I think the important part is the closing system to improve the OHR. I mean if you use a textile strap with hook and holes it is the same as a silicone one, but if the closing is velcro it should help the OHR because you can do a more accurate adjustment.

I’ve been tempted to buy the Coros velcro strap, that looks compatible with the SV/SR and it is cheaper than the Suunto’s straps.

the thinnest I’ve ever tried, cheaper but very good, you will not be disappointed at all!

@cosme-costa I had the Pace 3 and the Coros Pace 3 nylon strap is the best and lightest strap I’ve ever tried.
As far as I understand, It should be compatable.

I have good experience with this cheap velcro strap.
Wrist HR is quite good when using this strap, tightened enough. I even ran intervals with it with good results. But on trails, when using poles to climb or bouncing heavily downhill, HR values are off.

@halajos Thanks a lot. I have also noticed that the worst OHR data I get is while trail running. I have the feeling that the watch bounces a lot with the original strap. The original strap is very comfortable but the SV Ti is a big watch with 74g.

@pilleus I have seen these 2 threads where you have much better OHR results with the velcro strap, specially the feeedback talking about the 26mm one:

                              https://forum.suunto.com/topic/9172/ohr-sensor-often-good-but-why-sometimes-not/30
                              https://forum.suunto.com/topic/10627/topic-to-digress-for-this-and-that/15

Really interesting information. I will also try to fit a 26mm one. Seems a very good (and cheap) solution

@dreamer_ silicone tends to slip a lot when wet, impacting HR readings.

@halajos true. I also remember that the watch was sliping with the original strap in the run I was talking about.

Excited to know that there’s perhaps a good (and instant fix)

@dreamer_ the velcro strap I’m using slips much less, especially if it’s tightened well.

@dreamer_ velcro made even the S9B behave better, I only wish Suunto would still make them.

@isazi yes, I bought a 3rd party velcro strap for the S9B and WHR improved a lot.

@halajos @isazi just to confirm that I have tried a velcro strap and the OHR has now very consistent results. The difference is so important that I’m really amazed with the results.
