    Hi there,

    I have the brand new Ocean here and I’m really impressed so far. It’s my first Suunto device coming from a competitor and so I am comparing functionality and usability…

    First question I have: I am using my iPhone in my car through Apple Car Play for listening to music, using the phone with the hands-free-system etc. The connection is made via bluetooth. As I connected my phone with the Ocean through bluetooth (for using the Suunto app and getting notified on new mails, chat messages and so on), I can no longer connect the phone to my car.

    I’m coming from a Garmin Fenix and never had an issues of getting notifications on the Garmin from the phone while being connected at the same time to the car and using streaming, navigation and everything.

    Has someone an idea how to simultaneously connect the iPhone to the watch and the car?

    Thanks in advance, Frank

      @Frank-Scholer I can’t think of any reason you wouldn’t be able to connect to both. I frequently have my iPhone connected to multiple bluetooth devices without issue. Are you saying that the iPhone disconnects from the car when it connects to your Ocean?

      As a side note, Car Play isn’t bluetooth, it’s either wifi or wired and ‘normal’ bluetooth for music and hands-free is different. I’m assuming you are referring to ‘normal’ bluetooth to the car, rather than Car Play but please say if that’s not the case.

        @Frank-Scholer This is odd, I have tested the Ocean for quite some time now and have Apple CarPlay. I am able to connect both CarPlay and the Ocean to my iPhone13mini with no issues.

          @Brad_Olwin, @far-blue

          thanks for your answers…! Good to hear that it must be possible! I’ll dig around a little bit and try connecting the phone to the car without a connection to the Ocean… I think, I should manage to set things up. 🙂

          Thanks, Frank
