@Marius-Jacobsen-Eggerud I think I can also answer questions now. I was testing one for various months now.
-
@isazi Updated HR? How does it compare to Race/Vertical?
-

ing one for various months no
So in fact, from the Suunto Hompage, it is “just” a small Race. With lower Battery power.
But all the other functions are the same as on the Race?Which hardware is different from Vertical / Race? HR, GPS, Bluetooth?
-
@isazi
oh no ! really ? what a rascal -
@EzioAuditore for me it’s the same, Race, Vertical, and Race S all work for me in most cases. Ocean, not always.
-
@Stoke80 hardware difference from Race that I am aware of, is the OHR module (the sensor is different, 1 light, 4 detectors).
-
Moving the discussion on Race S here: https://forum.suunto.com/category/54/suunto-race-s

@Stoke80 What do you mean by this? Can you elaborate?
-
So what’s next for 2024 Suunto? A Vertical S for the end of year maybe ? That would be great!

Excuse me, what do you mean exactly?
-
@EzioAuditore According to Dc rainmaker it’s better (except for biking where it is the same) but he see lots of improvement in his review regarding HR on the Race s compared to the Race
-
@Josaiplu Will the new firmware also improve Race and Vertical OHR?
-
@Patrick-Löffler-0 nothing in the firmware should be really improving OHR, but Race S is smaller and has a different sensor, so it may work better for some people. For me, OHR is good on Race, Vertical, Race S.
-
@taziden maybe something else than a watch
-
So now after so many lovely watches and very promising FW direction I see many of us wanting or already having multiple devices. Are there any plans to improve the multi watch handling? Not much needed, maybe just not removing re adding them all the time. Have one selected like primary and if both are available connect to the primary? (I think Garmin has something like this: primary fitness device and primary device).
-
@EzioAuditore there’s absolutely no need to remove and re-connect watches if you have more than one.
In the app, you can just switch to your “primary” watch and the other stays there to always switch back at will.
Has been like this for a long time now. -
@Egika just out of curiosity:
when switching between two different watches, let’s say S9PP and Vertical, is the hrv and training data (tss, ctl, tsb) being kept the same between the two?
-
@HansLeo training data is even synced back to watch (not HRV, that is only available from the watch)
-
@Egika Oh didn’t know and try that out since I have them on different mobiles. Thank you. Maybe it’s time to put them on same mobile device.
