If the subject exists I would like to know if it does not exist I would like to check the possibility of creating a SuuntoPlus that will allow you to see the height of the jump while surfing

@Danny-poleg it does not exist as far as I know.

I’m wondering how accurate it could be. GNSS can be way off in vertical measurements and barometric pressure isn’t a good combination with wind and water.

That would be extremely cool, even if not accurate it would be nice to have a guess. I will ask if this is something that can happen.

Yeah, we have had that discussion before.
There are like 3 ways to do this (and only one is actually possible afaik)
          A) read barometric sensor of the watch
-> not possible as you’ll need a higher sampling time than the standard 1sec. Plus in contact with water the sensor will be disturbed additionally.

          B) read the accerometer and calculate in 3D the second derivative of the acceleration.
-> this is, how foot pods and kite jump specific devices like the WOO work. Watch currently has not the high sampling rate of accelerometer and computational power to do this.

          C) read the WOO attached to your board using BT.
-> This should actually be possible and I have submitted this as an idea in Suunto’s ideation system some time ago. No idea if it will prioritized high enough to happen…

          Cheers
