Could it be that the vibration on SV is a little bit softer or smoother after the update?

@GiPFELKiND for both this is by concept.

That should be right, it behaves bit differently for Snorkeling & Mermaiding. -> There is no concept of “Pause” and it is not allowed to stop when submerged. And hence the ending sequence differs from new exercise ending flow.

@Naseem-Rayyan Same here. I really liked being able to double tap the complications - I could quickly access more data without having to clutter up the watch face. Hopefully they bring that feature back.

Showing the average speed still does not work when you have created your own cycling sports mode…1000057167.jpg

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Well, what you say makes sense. But at some point in life you will have to stop the activity. And at that moment the displayed menu will not be the new one. 😉

@steoreggia Yes I fully agree - I also used the same watchface - loss of the compass needle and ability to scroll through complications by tapping is a bummer 😞 can’t see why they removed that

I believe you! It has just been a long time since I used that firmware. I have an extra 9PP I will keep on this firmware. To get the extra map functions and climb guidance on the newer watches I think the trade off is worth it. Unfortunately, not likely to change on the watch with no maps. It isn’t that bad to cycle to another screen.

Oops, well, if it was a deliberate decision and not a bug, it would seem like a poorly optimized approach, at the very least. Because if I only have three buttons and one has no function in the short press, it means that only 83% of the capacity is used.

Obviously we can deal with it, but I think it is quite cumbersome to have to cycle two screens (not just one) until we reach one where we can stop the activity.

With all due respect, and from my point of view, it is a very unfortunate implementation.

@Durri I think that’s average cycling power per interval.

@Ivo-Smolis They removed it because people have been complaining about non customisable watch faces. So now that the watch faces are customisable, people complain about the ‘old tap and switch’ 🙂 The only way they could bring it back is if they enable customisation via the app. Since if you customise the complication what others will need to be added to it? How many? And all sorts of problems coming with the 2 different ways of doing it.

My SR didn’t log any sleep data after updating the watch last night. No sleep report this morning. Sleep tracking and HRV logging settings are on and haven’t changed after the update. After the update itself I have rebooted the device by holding the upper button for 12 seconds.

A second night after updating. The issues didn’t reproduce. All normal with sleep tracking.

@EzioAuditore can’t be easy for Suunto developers. Always something that people think is wrong.

Only thing I want now from the watch is better maps, and maybe some more work with the step tracking. Other than that the watch is awesome:)
                          Best update so far

@Iggge It cannot be easy to do anything these days not only SW 😄 People are more stressed than ever.
One best example that happened recently to me:

                            • Hiking in the Alps enjoying the beautiful nature I started the watch with navigation guidance since first time there. It was me and 3 buddies (all with Garmins).
                            • Every couple minutes they were constantly checking the watches bragging oh we climbed 600m ascent with this speed with that and so on.
                            • In the meantime I maybe checked it 3, 4 times during 2000m ascent just to make sure I am on the right path and check my HR.
                            • We arrived at the first peak (2007m). Oh look my garmin says 1978m just 30m off, the second one ha mine says 1987 so I am better.
                            • I didn’t even check the watch but after ‘insulting’: ok lets see your beloved Suunto… and after I told them let me enjoy the view and after I grasp everything in I check it promise.
                            • They: Ok Suunto Zen guy now its the time to check it
                            • 2007m I say
                            • What that cannot be. Lets see.
                            • Surely the watch was showing the same attitude as the marked height 😄
                            • One of them went strait and bought Race.
                            • He’s still struggling to leave the social aspect of Garmin (badges, competition with groups and friends)
                            • I always tell him: see what you’ve become slaves to the numbers 😄

And that’s why I hope the spirit of Suunto won’t change into the race (pun not intended) for features.

@Łukasz-Szmigiel 😄 Me too. I was critical of them too at some point my vertical was not usable due to mid activity crashes. but after Nov updates smooth sailing. And in order to support my fellows SW engineers and EU based company I got the: Wing, Race and now waiting for the Ocean (I had some bonus I wanted to share 😄 )

Can’t we have only “Baro” on top of the graph instead of trying to fit the whole word “Barometer”?

@EzioAuditore Oh people will always complain beacuse different people want different things - can’t please everyone. But there are some things which can be made in a way which COULD please everyone. I really don’t see a problem with having both - why not allow the user to pick 3-5 they wish to cycle? People complained about lack of customization (so not being able to choose which complications appear where) and not about the tap-cycling functionality itself. No need to do it on the Suunto app either - with this update they showed us that it’s perfectly possible to allow complications customization directly on the watch itself - just allow us to choose which we want to tap-cycle and Bob’s your uncle. Don’t want any complications? Leave it blank then (as it’s possible now) Don’t want tap-cycling? Just choose one. Want tap-cycling? Just choose more than one. Easy-peasy. Of course it’s more work for the software enginneers but I don’t believe it would be much more complicated to code than the features they just enabled

@Ivo-Smolis no one said this will not happen, BTW. Customization of watchfaces was one of the most requested features, this is the first implementation, Suunto will gather feedback and act accordingly (as they did in the past).

@Ivo-Smolis My point was it would be difficult to choose more than one with the current customisation. you go and change one and how will you add the other 2, 3 on the same field that you want to tap and change? One way is you chose one and have a small number 1, than the next with 2 etc.

@EzioAuditore The modern approach in user experience that at least Apple currently sticks to, is that the user basically shouldn’t even notice an update if they choose to do so. The fact that I woke up and found my favorite watch face broken is not good no matter how you look at it. A way to overcome it would be to keep the default behavior if a watch face is not customized, that is allow clicking through. But if the user chooses to customize, then they are free to put static complications into predefined slots. That’s it, that’s one extra menu row Revert to defaults, nothing more is expected.
