@MiniForklift Tags are much, much more useful than a shoe tracker.

What do you use them for Brad?

He will tell you he has thousands of them from the good ol’ movescount days 😄

I use a lot as well but not nearly as much as he does. My main ones are heart rate equipment (Suunto HRM or Wrist HR are tagged), “Fasted” or “Fueled” to determine caloric intake, then the training program I’m following (“CTS Transition Block” as the current example).

I use runalyze for tracking shoes because I like to add notes and they will do duration thresholds as well as distance.

Always carry a flaggon of whiskey for snakebite; and furthermore, always carry a small snake.

All equipment, skis, boots, shoes, packs, watches, HR belt, inReach, type of workout and that’s about it.

Wish for an update in general:

          Bike computer error fix.
Device: Hammerhead Karoo 2 with Firmware Version 2.9.9

Error: Suunto does not take heart rates or Energy output into calculation.

Impact: It is also missing in the “Suunto Coach*BETA” - for example “cycling performance”, “impact” on “Cardio” or “Muscles” can not be taken seriously due to missing effort data… Sadly, strava (and of cause garmin and wahoo) makes it much better at this point: it calculates missing data and enables deep insights based on available data.

How? This aproach by strava might also be the workaround for SUUNTO to get a grip on the partner connection error.

          Suunto 9 Peak Pro (current)
          Hammerhead Karoo 2 (current)
          Suunto 9 Baro Black (retired)
Suunto Spartan Sport Wrist HR (retired)

I might be flogging a dead horse here, but I would still love to see an option to turn on an hourly chime in the ‘Alarm clock’ section of the watch

I use the sleep tracking and HRV every night but I turn the 24/7 HR off during the day. It would be great if we were still able to see the sleep information/stats when the optical HR has been disabled

how should the watch know when to turn the optical HR back on?

Fully expect new bugs and uglier interface as every update since I bought the watch a year ago. Is it possible to turn off auto updates for the watch? The new rolling interface is so much worse than before, and really ugly

@stromdiddily I turn it back on manually each night along with sleep and VO2 before I go to bed, I manually turn it off through the day

                        Yeah that sounds miserable LOL

Your original post was to be able to disable 24/7 OHR but still measure sleep, I guess I’m asking doesn’t the watch need OHR to properly measure sleep?

And if yes, question is, how would it know to do so automatically?

@stromdiddily maybe by allowing to sett a time that it should automatically turn on and off. Kinda like being able to set up a time for do not disturb mode.

@stromdiddily I don’t believe the OHR is used to detect sleep. It would only be needed for resting HR and overnight HRV

@Niclas-Brundell Yes, we know that when it comes to taste there are as many colors as asses, but for me it was also a step backwards in terms of design.

The thing is that I only had the pleasure of suffering with it for 3 days, until I got tired of the problems with the OHR and downgraded to the previous version. But I have little desire when the next update comes.

I totally agree. In fact, I have been asking for it, just like you and many others. On more than one occasion I have not been able to fully recommend Suunto watches to my colleagues precisely because of this.

It is something that is apparently easy to implement, but which Suunto has been ignoring for years in an incomprehensible way.

A great one would be a suunto plus to be abe to activate trhow the watch, the current position tracking of whatsapp to a pre-defined contact. This is really usefull, forexample, if you are doing a long ride and want to advise family 1h before finishing that you are comming and they can calculate estimated arrival monitoring the position.

@Tieutieu From what I have read in the Spanish forum, this will come and soon.

From what I have read and deduced there are several nice updates to come in structured workouts, multiple sensors, navigation and swimming. They didn’t provide or leak any dates.

I hope they don’t include regressions, as happened with the last one and sleep tracking…
