      Re: Suunto ZoneSense

Hi! I bought a race s a week ago, and started working with the zonesense feature. I understand how it works, and that the threasholds are not static.
During my easy runs this week, i got a measured aeT of around 130 bpm. Today, i run my local 10k and despite i can check the zonesense graph, it does not provide any measured aeT. Any explanation for this? I did a 10-12 min warming up before the race in order to get the zonesense calculate threasholds.
When looking at the graph from the 10k, i can see that the change from green to yellow seems to be somewhere near the 160 bpm, far away from the usual 130. It seems to me that this value has been afected for not being an easy run. Is it posible?
In order to have a measurement of the anT, do i need to get to that intensity?
      Thank you!

@SalvaGali Not an expert on ZoneSense, but, from what I understood, in order for the zoneSense to properly evaluate the threshold, you need to spend som time above and below it, in a 10k you probably spent all your time above it, thus the calculation isn’t good ?

@Elipsus @SalvaGali that is correct. In a 10K race, if you’re going on a hard “race” type of effort, first threshold will be pretty much skipped, second threshold might be measured instead, did you see it?

          And a comment here :

“I did a 10-12 min warming up before the race in order to get the zonesense calculate threasholds.”. - - - - > this does ZS calibration for the day in question, this step will just make sure ZS uses the day’s HRV as baseline, if not done, ZS will use previous workout/day’s as baseline, so this has no impact on a high effort race and ZS being able to measure your first threshold.
