No lap time in Swimming

Hi, I don’t understand, why there is no possibile to mesure my distance manually via laps. Yes, most of the times the app can identify my distance, if I swam in a full coordination. But in the training I have a lot of drills and exercises, which are than not documented. Why on earth, can’t you allow to measure distance and time per laps?!!!
