Service mode
-
Hello.
Could you help: the watch went into this mode and I don’t know what to do.
I held the button for 12 seconds. After that, the screen turned black and this message appeared again? I pressed it probably 50 times.
Thank you. -
@dr_free I had this too recently with a test watch.
Initially did not know what to to.
Half an hour later it had resolved by itself and watch was back to normal… 🤪 -
What you could try in the meantime:
Press all buttons simultaneously for >12s -
@Egika ,
first of all, thank you for your response and the hope that the watch will start working again.
It’s been about 6 hours since I started the service mode.
I’ve tried pressing different combinations, such as pressing all three buttons at once, pressing them one by one, pressing and releasing them, but unfortunately, none of them seem to work. -
@Egika all buttons!? The crown too?

Suunto Support response:
Here’s what you can do:
Charge Your Watch - Connect your watch to the charger and let it charge for at least 30–60 minutes without pressing any buttons. Sometimes, a stable power source helps the device recover from service mode.
Hard Reset- While your watch is still connected to the charger, try pressing and holding the main button (or all buttons if there are multiple) for about 20 seconds. This can sometimes force the watch to exit service mode.
Leave It Charging- If a reset doesn’t help, leave the watch charging for a few hours to see if it automatically exits service mode.
Check for Software Update- Once or if the watch restarts, make sure to connect it to the Suunto app or SuuntoLink on your computer and check for any available software updates.
If the watch stays stuck in service mode after all these steps, it likely needs professional attention. Please let me know if the situation changes, or if you’d like, I can guide you through the repair request process for further support.
