Really? š§ -
@diogao13
briefly I thought well finally⦠damn

@Artur-Brzeczkowski I can only agree with you. The Ocean is unfortunately an example of the fact that a really great product is neglected. I can only speculate, but I guess that the watch is too much of a niche product and that the focus is on the run, race, vertical. Stupid for the buyers of the Ocean who have placed the same trust in the product. Considering the price very, really very annoyingā¦

I have only one thing that prevent me for buying the MK3i: the noise (bzzz bzzz) of the Garmin T2 Transceiver which seems annoying
Garmin takes these lead now, look at the new X50 computer while Suunto still proposes the old Eon Core. -
@Brad_Olwin I respectfully disagree with your argument. Let me provide a practical example: there is a Chinese drone manufacturer that dominates the market, and most of the hardware they use in their drones is the same. When you purchase a cheaper model, you get fewer features activated in the software, while the top-of-the-line model includes all features unlocked. Of course, higher-end models also include some additional hardware improvements, such as LiDAR and better lenses.
The point is that today, the tech industry is largely driven by software. Therefore, you cannot expect to buy a diving watch (few are released to market every year) and assume it will keep the same software indefinitelyāor receive very occasional updatesāand treat that as a special gift. Thank you for a good discussion. I belive this is very important to address.

Sadly ā I think for some, though not for everyone, the Suunto Ocean moment is already over. The initial euphoria has faded, and thereās too much strong, emerging competition on the market.
-
@tinten.addi I totally agree
-
@tinten.addi Unfortunately you are right⦠if already poorly functioning OHR sensors should be installed, the entire package should at least be right⦠unfortunately this is not the case with the ocean at all⦠no more development⦠Sorry but Suunto has to put up with the comparison with Garmin⦠what is better now than with the Fenix 8? I am definitely disappointed and unfortunately can no longer recommend Suuntoā¦

Why Fenix 8 and not Descent MK3i ?

@karollos
my thoughts since one week
-
@tinten.addi More than one month, less than eternity.
-
In an other post āsomeoneā said ā⦠in the next 1 months maxā (without guarantee). That was about 2 weeks ago, so there is a lot of time left
-
@tinten.addi
I have my suunto Ocean since July and I am already checking every day for a potentiel update, this is not a good sign š„². -
I have read on forum some time ago that the update will come soonā¦The brand name should be changed in Soonā¦to
-
@Bogdan1921 we cannot disclose the update date, just that it will happen
-
@tinten.addi
It was 13 days ago (when I am writing this post), so it means we can see the updates no more than17 days.
If it is true⦠the only question now is whether the watch will receive all the updates in terms of multisport and other features like the others, and whether issues such as the lack of ZoneSense during training and similar bugs will be fixed? So, Will we also get the same functions regarding sensors ā multiple sensors, battery status, and so on? I hope Suunto has the routine and professionalism to ensure that, after weāve waited this long for their flagship, it will be truly uncompromising and in no way fall behind ā as this is otherwise a wonderful piece of technology.
