Software Update 2.44.52 (2025 Q3 - HOTFIX)

Well, HRV indicates, among other things, that you had a bad night’s sleep for some reason. These numbers don’t come from a random number generator.
-
Ever since I updated to this firmware version (2.44.52) I receive ‘stand up’ notifications while not wearing the watch. The watch is in a drawer when it gives the alert.
How does it know I’m sitting down when I’m not wearing it?

@ajjvbeek
It also beeps in my bed at night while I’m sleeping, and I wake up a lot. I think it has something to do with the motion sensor. -

(It disappears on soft reset). It seems to be the same beep as one when connecting to HR (arm) sensor. Perhaps it tries to connect all the tiimes and could explain the battery drain in some cases…@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos

After the update I recognised that the SV 1 tried to connect to a hr sensor despite whether a sensor was paired/connected nor the ohr was enabled (if I started any activity). This could not be avoided even through a hard reset of the watch.
So you may be right with your opinion.

This is the third time I’ve noticed this issue my Vertical 1 isn’t charging.
Whenever connect my watch to the charger, the screen just shows “downloading map.” assume it’s properly connected to the charger. Not sure if this is related to the recent update. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
-
@Wilson75 I noticed this too.
Not only is the cable itself very flimsy and requires constant checking to see if it’s actually charging, but now there’s another level of crap going on – the software suggests charging, but it doesn’t. -
Thanks for confirming. I hope it will be fixed because this is very big problem.
To illustrate my issue
I can see charging icone :
Few minutes later still charging … still at 11%

@Wilson75
Dear Wilson75,
I had the same problem until I cleaned the Contacts of the V1 and the (very cheap designed) charging cradle. All contacts seem to be pretty clean, the watch showed the same as yours, but no juice from the cradle. After using warm water with some liquid soap the problem was gone. Since then the watch and cradle behave well as they should. Maybe it helps, good luck!

I have had this issue too few days ago with last firmware.

@Antoine can confirm that I have experienced something similar

Yesterday I had the displeasure of seeing that my HR sensor stopped working since a few hours, I thought this bug was fixed 1 year ago ?
A watch reboot fixed my issue, but it’s one of those time where I’m really, really disappointed… -
@Antoine
I experienced the same thing yesterday, and it was very strange.
I put my watch on charge at 8%. It was charging fine. Then it stopped at 91%.
I waited an hour, took it out, and put it back on charge, and it immediately hit 92%. Then, when it stayed at 92%, I took it out again, and this time it stayed at 99%.
I wore it like this on my wrist now. -
Hi - I’m having some problems with paired bluetooth heart rate monitors. I have a Polar Verity Sense and H10. The H10 seemed to work ok, but I’ve had problems with the Verity Sense - it will show as connected in “paired devices”, but the heart rate icon doesn’t turn green and no heart rate is displayed. I tried reconnecting with the same result. I then deleted the pairing and re-paired. I was able to use the Verity Sense immediately. However, the next time I went to use the Verity Sense, I had the same issue. When I then attempted to use the H10, which had been working fine, it too showed connected, but the heart rate icon did not turn green, and no heart rate was displayed.
-
@DrSilverthorn yeah I also have two sensors paired and have issues with both of them. No matter which one I’m trying to use, a green popup shows it’s connected but the icon is gray and blinking. This is very frustrating now. It usually starts to work after a few minutes of connecting and disconnecting but a few days ago I didn’t manage to connect at all…
-
@OutdoorMan Today I repaired and then immediately tried to use the Verity Sense, and i couldn’t get it to work. Right now, it’s pretty much nonfunctional. If wrist OHR was reliable for me, I wouldn’t care so much.
-
@safari yesterday I had the same situation, charging went well from 13 to 91%, then it stopped despite the charging icon was still on. I had to disconnect the cable from the watch several times to get more juice.
-
@DrSilverthorn something weird with sensors is happening and impacting battery.
I went for a run, paired a Stryd, recorded 1h of activity then left the Stryd home and spent the rest of the day far from it… after a full day battery went down 1 or 2%… good.
Then I went to sleep while my Stryd was near and charging (so probably active). After about 7h of sleep my Suunto Vertical lost 15% battery!
