Suunto Vertical 2 General Discussion

Thanks for the replies, but actually the firmware is still quite unstable, at least on my watch, despite the update.
the HR sensor randomly turns off and to turn it back on I have to lift the sensor from my wrist and place it back on my skin. This happens several times a day.
when I activate button lock, after about 15 minutes I can’t deactivate it anymore and I have to restart the watch
The Always On Display setting gets randomly disabled even with full battery.I’m eagerly awaiting a bugfix update.
I use the watch a lot for testing, monitoring SpO2, HR, sleep, doing 3-4 training sessions a day, changing sport modes to check the data, etc.
I don’t know if these bugs only happen to me because of the intensive use I make of the sportwatch, but they shouldn’t happen anyway… -

Second, the HR sensor should not be turning off. Do you have 24/7HR monitoring turned on? The button lock issue should have been fixed as well as the HR, which is why I asked about firmware version. AOD should not be going off.

Version V2.46.12, the latest available.
I’d read about an old HR sensor bug that was supposedly fixed. But my Vertical 2 still seems to suffer from it. Despite 24/7 monitoring, sometimes I find it off (I put the complication on the display) with gaps in the monitoring graph. This is especially a problem at night because it messes up all the sleep statistics.
It’s the most serious issue among those listed -
@pavel.samokha After waking up the watch with a hand movement, the set widget does not launch. I have to press one of the outer buttons and only then can it launch. Does anyone else have this? Performed a soft reset, version 2.46.12. Someone solved a similar problem on Race S. I apologize for any duplication. Thanks.

@Martin-Vrska daft question maybe but have you got the raise to wake setting on display only? Off memory there are two settings. One wakes up the screen fully.
I have it setup so I need to press a button to make the screen active.
-
@Martin-Vrska Which widget? To launch a saved widget a button press is required.
-
@Audaxjoe Yes, I have it set to: full wake mode - medium brightness - always on display: off.
-
@Brad_Olwin Yes: I raise my hand, the display lights up. I press the middle button (in my case, the widget with HRV), but the watch doesn’t respond. Only when I press the bottom or top button and the watch wakes up does the middle button respond as it should. (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1quab4uFF63MXh8eJekxQ495aGKxaxHcC/view?usp=drive_link)

I have the same problem. Plus a lot more (battery drain and bugs). I am returning my v2 and keep the v1 instead
-
How is the built quality of the watch? I saw people commenting on tilted screens and loose buttons.

@BastMaSVSRS9PP No issues with my V2. Buttons feel solid, same as V1 and screen is fine.
