Software Update 2.46.14
-
@Tami999 may I ask you a screen shot with the name of the 1_current ? With the full name we could have url
Edit found it 2.46.4 : https://firmware.geo.movescount.com/production/Wismar-fw_2.46.4.25276-U-6542ddd7.sof
and the current one 2.46.14 : https://firmware.geo.movescount.com/production/Wismar-fw_2.46.14.26212-U-a994f63c.sof
Your screenshot was enough to find the proper URL with some guessing thanks a lot

I also noticed high current draw. 10% of battery per one day just wearing and not doing any sports . On previous FW it was not so high.

Hello, I am a new Race 2 user. I received the watch with version 2.41.38 and the first update downloaded version 2.46.14, so I cannot revert to version 2.46.4 because it was never installed on my watch
How could I transfer the firmware Wismar-fw_2.46.4.25276-U-6542ddd7.sof from firmware.geo.movescount.com to my watch?
I donāt see any options in the Suunto app on Android, the Race 2 is not listed among the watches compatible with the SuuntoLink app, and connecting via USB to my Mac does not seem to allow me to access the watch files.

@Tami999
Same here -
@newegor Iām guessing it has something to do with the ābusyā bug happening. I downgraded from 2.46.14 back to 2.46.4 and the drain and ābusyā error went away. My guess is something is running in the background draining the battery and making the watch seem busy.
-
@newegor I noticed the battery drain too, even though Iād downgraded to the previous version.
-
@newegor I noticed it too
-
Not sure what happened, but today I got this result:

HRM did connect in the beginning, then after a few minutes the watch started to vibrate and HR reading was blank on the watch. Sometimes it popped up but it froze (same number for a long time). Battery of HRM is 96%.

@fuxibaz open the link with your phone where suunto app is installed then open the fw with the app

Does anyone know when Suunto is going to release a bugfix for this issue?
-
I downgraded the firmware and went for a run ā oh wow, guess what? My watch decided heart rate tracking was optional.

So I updated back to the latest firmware⦠and boom! The app turned into a circus, and the lock button got stuck like it just gave up on life.Tiny bugs like these might look small, but trust me ā a few more of these āsurprisesā and people might just retire their watches early.

-
I donāt know when the developers will finally fix all these issues and make things right. This month has been such an unhappy one for using the watch. Your competitor, Garmin, has even opened a factory in my country theyāre moving forward at full speed, and people are showing a lot of interest. I really donāt know what will happen next, and itās heartbreaking to see the brand I love being used by fewer and fewer people.
-
@Alpha-156.42 Contrary to you I see more and more people starting to use Suunto, so I guess it depends. Also I do not have a Run so cannot judge how good/bad it is, but this forum mostly represents people having problems, majority of people I am sure are pretty happy to use the watch. Other thing, that thinking that Garmin do not have bugs is a very optimistic thinking

-
@aiv4r it is actually the opposite where I live. More people are switching from Suunto to other brands. The reputation is somehow that these are watches āfull of bugs and unreliableā. I donāt necessarily agree, just saying.
-
@OutdoorMan hmm interesting, I guess we will see in the long run, but it is super strange to read that people are dropping Suunto for smallest of bugs. But to be fair I never encountered any even close to dealbreaker bugs.
