Battery life in smartwatch mode is always without any activity, and it is the same for all brands

      Old: SV, SR
Currently enjoying race 2, wife on SRs

@Josaiplu of course with any activity it is accordingly lower. But it is still good battery life.

@Sergey-Balbir fully understand your frustration. Should be at least close to advertised „runtime“

          Currently Race I

@Sergey-Balbir From my experience, do you have enabled the Raise To Wake or Standby light in display settings? This eats the battery.

I had an interesting occurrence today. I purchased a used Vertical on eBay. When I received it the battery was dead so I started charging it. The previous owner did not reset it so I had to do two things. A. Update it because that also had not been done and B. Reset it. The watch said that the battery had to be at 20% to do the update and 40% to do the reset. I charged it to 20% and did the update. Then I went to 40% and did the reset. Strangely when the watch started back up after the reset it showed 85% battery. I never charged it past 40%.

I don’t know what it means, but it might be a piece to our puzzle. I know people just want their batteries to work properly, but posting to try to help.

Suunto Vertical, Vertical 2, Race, Race 2, Race S and Run. Rocking the Vertical 1 at the moment.

@Stavrogin battery tries to estimate its status - it must be calibrated to show better results - best it to have a charge from very low to 100%.

Yes, I have Raise to wake with low brightness.
I don’t think this is the main case because this option is Off during sleeping time and the battery shows almost the same depleting rate when I sleep.
I have followed all the recommendations and turned off all "unnecessary " measurements. I did settings reset several times, discharged to 0% several times in a row. Neither of this Voodoo helped 😞
This is why I didn’t take a risk to buy a new Suunto. Not sure about my future choice though. This will depend on my new Garmin performance.

🤣🤣🤣 its funny. Now we have a DEMO Mode. If we want to be a reseller for suunto watches? Really? 🤣Who and why should we use this Demo mode 😉 dont read the watch manual… Please only watch your Demo mode 🤣 unbelievable. Rest of this update is nice and good Features. Now we can have 3 suunto plus apps while Training, nuch better optical heart rate Software in compare with a traditional heart rate belt. Looks really good so far. No info about better battery Management.

Because then, that’s something else that’d unique that has to be managed separately from a ‘sales’ unit, which adds complexity and requires more testing etc. etc. In other words, what everyone talking about Run being separate to Race and the others are complaining about 😉

I really don’t see a problem with a demo mode and am more interested in (a) the new features and (b) getting outside and using them 🙂

Have fun in the snow, if you are lucky enough to have some!

@kriskus not sure why you need it - but it’s in Settings - General. The watch will restart itself once you exit it.
