      Hello,

Does anyone know if Suunto plans to introduce OpenSuuntoPlus to the Suunto Run? I don’t think it’s an option, and it leaves this device behind in any future updates, so I’m considering replacing it with a compatible one. Does anyone know anything about this?

      Thanks!

@isaac.net The Suunto Run does not support Suunto+, I doubt that this will change and I would not plan on using Suunto Run with Suunto+ apps.

@Brad_Olwin To be perfectly honest, I’m happy to hear that: its one of the main reasons I got the Run over the other offerings, as it makes it impossible to lose an app-store based feature if the app store is ever unavailable (server/internet outage, etc.) or (as happened in 2019 to the Traverse/Ambit lines) is cancelled outright in a change of ownership or something.

I realize differing opinions are out there on it all, but having a non-app-driven GNSS watch is a rarity in the industry now, so I for one won’t be complaining if the Run gets to keep that distinction🙂. Here’s to Suunto, keeping the Core (“off grid” in their own words) and Run as not-so-niche options the “other guys” have ignored!

@JebClydeNC I don’t follow your rationale … You cannot be arguing that you lose something by having additional options … on the contrary, not having options means you lose the option of having something

It will be great if Suunto plan to add a compability between Suunto Run and My Plan for syncing it.

              🤞
