Thanks a lot. Did not know that you can observe trends. Where can I find it? Was looking for some explanation how to use this function but couldn’t find any official explanation. But yes, if you can observe trends and you stick with always the same protocol than one can use it. So is then the feedback “normal” also based on your individual trend? Because if Suunto defined what is normal then this might not be accurate if you deviated from their defined protocol.

        @EzioAuditore
There are scientific studies that show that there are actually big differences between standing vs. sitting vs. laying down. So therefore it is quite important how the rest period is performed.

@brave_dave That is how I understand it based on this video by Suunto: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh0gD05DngU it starts on topic at around 5min mark.

@brave_dave Surely there are. That’s why I stated how I porefer it and feel it. I am much more ‘calm’ when after high intensity I slow rather than stop and feel/listen to my heart beat 🙂

@Miroslava Treadmills are usually only compatible with Polar chest heart rate straps (not optical armband sensors).

@Danny-poleg If you happen to be referring to the Vector Classic watch face then indeed it has a battery drain issue (at least with the previous firmware). See https://forum.suunto.com/post/187506. I have a V2 running the latest firmware without battery issues. Just make sure that you have wireless network and wireless discovery turned off (as long as you don’t need to update maps or connect new BT devices). I use the Athletics watch face. It managed <5% per day (24h) without activities.

The hr broadcast to a treadmill has Little to do with the Brand of the hr Belt. And more with connectivity Option of the treadmill. So for example my treadmill at Home can only Display via Ant+ . If you have a hr belt (no matter the Brand ) that has the possibilty to send Data via Ant+ the hr Data will transmitted to the treadmill and you can see it on the treadmill display. The hr broadcasting from the Suunto Watch is via Bluetooth. So the treadmill Must have the option to receive hr data via Bluetooth, if that is not the case you can‘t get the hr Data broadcasted.

If you switch off Wifi in the watch, it will not update weather and A-GPS data overnight, when the known Wifi is within reach…

@enneo It works pretty well but it was disabled on my watch after FW upgrade. I had to enable it in the configuration of navigation.

@Vitaly-B. After the firmware update, I was also offered an update of all offline maps on the watch, which I did, but unfortunately without any new map views. I also have 10 GB of free storage on the watch! I don’t understand why the new map views aren’t available on the Race 1; as I said, I had to update the maps without seeing any improvement, and I have more than enough free storage on the watch.

@Frank-Luderer here is the thread about the maps update:

                                https://forum.suunto.com/topic/14876/maps-update-rollout-march-2026-staged

It is independent from the firmware update an incorporates changes in the maps until now. You know, sometimes paths are closed and new roads built.
Plus more POI and other information was added to the maps.

Definitely agree with you. Battery drain & ghost vibration were introduced in the 2 last updates and it is sad to see the the watch is ending with such issues…

Do you have the firmware name for 9PP ? Actually I was looking for it to roll back, it was very stable and I liked the performances, I could not find it again so it would be amazing 🙏

Thanks for the great update !

                                    A few bugs that I’ve seen :

                                    • At 6:50 this morning the weather view was showing the expected temp at 01:00 and later, as if it was midnight. The last Sync was 2h ago, then the watch synced and it went back to normal, i.e. temp for 7:00
                                    • I record my rides with wahoo elemnt bolt and import it in suunto via runalyze. The watch doesn’t shoe the correct TSS for the week anymore and it used to do it correctly before the update. The data is correct is Suunto app (latest version)
                                    • The total hours week is just wrong, it says 12h for me this week but this number doesnt make sense, I’m at around 8h. Again correct in suunto app.

Have any of you see anything similar ?

I’ve encountered an issue where every time I turn off the device, the pace zones get reset. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I don’t know about pace zones (don’t use them) but the timer (which I use to boil eggs) is reset to 0 every time after I restart the watch.

Tbh, I don’t know the behavior with the previous firmware, but it was reset with every firmware install (which also does a restart I suppose)

                                          Hello,

                                          Thanks for the great update.

As for turn-by-turn navigation, little has changed in the initial test. The turns are marked as waypoints on the map (app), but this has no effect on the data fields (POI/Waypoint ETA and ETE). These have the same values as the route end data fields.
However, they do change exactly 20 metres (in this case, whilst hiking) before the turn, displaying the expected values. In other words, you reach the waypoint in, say, 10 seconds. But this has been the case for a year now, since the introduction of the revised turn logic. Can this be changed so that the data fields are also displayed correctly before the 20 metres, for example?
However, the turn-by-turn guidance has improved with the automatic zoom, and the arrow directions are correct again, as I saw on my first hike. You get used to the new turn-by-turn notification.

                                          Best regards
