Ringrazio tutti per le molte informazioni che ho trovato nel forum. Per una persona nuova nel mondo Suunto non è tutto semplice.

@Vitaly-B. After the firmware update, I was also offered an update of all offline maps on the watch, which I did, but unfortunately without any new map views. I also have 10 GB of free storage on the watch! I don’t understand why the new map views aren’t available on the Race 1; as I said, I had to update the maps without seeing any improvement, and I have more than enough free storage on the watch.

@Frank-Luderer here is the thread about the maps update:

          https://forum.suunto.com/topic/14876/maps-update-rollout-march-2026-staged

It is independent from the firmware update an incorporates changes in the maps until now. You know, sometimes paths are closed and new roads built.
Plus more POI and other information was added to the maps.

t6, S6, Elementum Terra, Ambit 3 Sapphire, Spartan Ultra Copper, Traverse Alpha, S7 Graphite LE, S9B Ambassador, S9P Titanium, S9PP Titanium, Vertical All Black, Race Titanium Charcoal, Race S Titanium Courtney, Run Lime, Race 2, Vertical 2 Titanium

            @Matúš

Definitely agree with you. Battery drain & ghost vibration were introduced in the 2 last updates and it is sad to see the the watch is ending with such issues…

Do you have the firmware name for 9PP ? Actually I was looking for it to roll back, it was very stable and I liked the performances, I could not find it again so it would be amazing 🙏

Thanks for the great update !

              A few bugs that I’ve seen :

              • At 6:50 this morning the weather view was showing the expected temp at 01:00 and later, as if it was midnight. The last Sync was 2h ago, then the watch synced and it went back to normal, i.e. temp for 7:00
              • I record my rides with wahoo elemnt bolt and import it in suunto via runalyze. The watch doesn’t shoe the correct TSS for the week anymore and it used to do it correctly before the update. The data is correct is Suunto app (latest version)
              • The total hours week is just wrong, it says 12h for me this week but this number doesnt make sense, I’m at around 8h. Again correct in suunto app.

Have any of you see anything similar ?

I’ve encountered an issue where every time I turn off the device, the pace zones get reset. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I don’t know about pace zones (don’t use them) but the timer (which I use to boil eggs) is reset to 0 every time after I restart the watch.

Tbh, I don’t know the behavior with the previous firmware, but it was reset with every firmware install (which also does a restart I suppose)

                    Hello,

                    Thanks for the great update.

As for turn-by-turn navigation, little has changed in the initial test. The turns are marked as waypoints on the map (app), but this has no effect on the data fields (POI/Waypoint ETA and ETE). These have the same values as the route end data fields.
However, they do change exactly 20 metres (in this case, whilst hiking) before the turn, displaying the expected values. In other words, you reach the waypoint in, say, 10 seconds. But this has been the case for a year now, since the introduction of the revised turn logic. Can this be changed so that the data fields are also displayed correctly before the 20 metres, for example?
However, the turn-by-turn guidance has improved with the automatic zoom, and the arrow directions are correct again, as I saw on my first hike. You get used to the new turn-by-turn notification.

                    Best regards

love this new function, finally the altitude shown on both watchface and widget is correct and not influenced anymore by changes of the atmospheric pressure 👌

Concerning the Recovery HR, to my understanding this function should measure how fast is the HR drops right after having finished the athletic effort, consequently, the user should stop the activity as soon as he/she stops the exercise, since the drop down is (or should be) fast at first and then slows down as the HR approaches the rest value.
The longer the user wait to stop the activity, the less significant is the recovery test (I believe)

@Stefano-M64 I was thinking the same, but now I have watched some parts of Joaquin’s video and he shows it, that timer automativally starts when one pauses the activity so kind of independent of ending the activity (example would be if you click pause it starts counting down and if you click end it continues, so if you hit pause waited 10s and hit end it will show from 50s).

Another testing today of new features, especially navigation options with my SRs :

                              • confirms my first impressions that climb v3 is perfect
                              • auto-zoom works extremely good
                              • no diplay on screen of turn by turn alerts dispite they were on. Strange, I only had the bip but no display (anyway I almost never use turn by turn as maps are engough most of time)

Battery consumption in exercice seems still a bit high on exercice (but I had touchscreen enabled and have used the screen a lot), but the extra consumption in daily use seems to have been fixed.

Very happy of this very consistant and stable update

A small comment: maybe it is obvious for most, but to cycle between the data field on the map tooth the Touch option must be enabled in the Exercise options before starting the activity. If the touch is disabled, only the first data field is shown.

@aiv4r @stefano-m64 pausing + ending activity right away or pausing and waiting x secs before ending will have same effect as far as the new metric reading, the difference is in the 2nd case, if you wait more than 60 secs before ending, you won’t see the countdown to 60 secs.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos or anyone else having knowledge: Please, does this mean Suunto Vertical 1 (still active product) will no longer receive any updates? No Q1-4 based bug fixies at least?

@thailon I do not work for Suunto , But I’m also in the Spanish Forum, there its is said by Suunto employes that the SV1 is not discontinued, it will still receive updates as much as the hardware allows it.
I think they face some drawbacks with the SV1 (I guess related to the screen) that make that the update needs more time to be finished.
I think Suunto will find the solution and eventually everyone will be happy. Or at least is what I hope.

In my case when I bought the SVTS (two years ago) I was doubting between the SV1 and SR1 and decided the SV because theoretically they have the same hardware (minus NFC chip) and I thought the SV1 is more robust for trailrunning, long hikes and outdoor activities, so I’m a bit disappointed that the SR1 had the update and the SV1 not…but I hope more sooner than later they will find the solution and we will get the update.

Yes this is an ongoing issue going back for a while. Custom pace zones are always reset to 06’00, 05’30, 05’00, 04’30 /km after the watch is rebooted.
Not new to this firmware update and should be finally taken note of and looked at by the team.
