Bug: During activity watch restarted
-
I was doing a 15 mile hike today and about 3.5 miles in I was scrolling through the maps to find a nearby park and the watch just went black and rebooted. My progress wasn’t saved and resume. I restarted the hike and adding the route again and continued on. After I finished and the watch was able to sync (it should be able to sync in activity…) I luckily found that the previous activity was still saved. I was able to merge them for strava so all is ok, but I was very frustrated with inaccurate stats during the hike since I didn’t know what elevation gain/time/distance I had before the issue.
Furthermore multiple times the map panels were totally black and I could only see the route line. Sometimes zooming in and out would fix, but usually it would not. This issue has been happening nearly every single time I use navigation is it’s very frustrating.

Hello, I has the same problem, but without using navigatoin or map. Yesterday when I ran my watch restarted after about a kilometer. Today again during my run watch restarted twice!

Seems like this is quite a common issue. I had same experience where watch rebooted total 3 times in my run… did some troubleshooting with support team and they got me to return my device for repair …

Yesterday I restarted the watch before run activity and there was no reboot.

Hi everyone,
I’m adding my experience to this thread as I just had a similar restart issue.
Today (May 8, 2026) at approximately 9:00 AM, my watch restarted spontaneously during a run. I have already sent the logs via the Suunto app.
My setup during the crash:
Activity: Running with a Guided Workout (planned training).
Sensors: External bicep HR strap paired via Bluetooth.
SuuntoPlus Apps: I had both ZoneSense and Pace Zones Duration active.
I’ve already contacted support, but I wanted to share this here to see if we can find a common denominator. -
