Proposal for a second version of SUUNTO Plus Big Number ..... which is really big :-)

Hello all,
It’s a long time and multiple times
— in fact since my 9BARO so almost 8 years may be –
That I ask SUUNTO for a SPORT screen with a single figure so that when I swim, as I’m more and more impaired and after few hundreds meters with foggy glasses …

This week-end I developped a proof of concept of it …

For the moment I will just post some screen shot of it, but if this is doable and authorized on this forum I will publish the HTML file (it conaints html,css and javascript)

My idea is this one :

1. to really have super big font for a single information displayed
2. when I swim, my main interrest is the distance I swim, 1 km or 2 km during my noon lunch break time … so I want to see this information super easily and almost always …
   as I do not swim dozen of kilometers and also as I stay in a single kilometer for a long time, the most important information are more the meters, 25, 50, 75, … when I shift from 0 km to 1 km, I will stay for a long before reaching 2km … so the K unit is important but less important finally
3. the watch knows quite well when I turn … and also as it is a watch can count few seconds after each turn … so … it can automatically switch the face to a secondary information for example after the 10 second of each turn … in one direction the TIME … in the opposite direction the DURATION …
   Doing that I even do not need to touch the watch to see what time is it ? or how much time I swim … I just have to look at it at a certain moment of my swim … for example just before I will turn …

All my POC is configurable to try some other approach but I setup by default one which I feel really interresting, also I put beside my POC the real SUUNTO screen so that I can compare, I put the BIG number here but I can choose the 4,4,5 or 7 information screen to compare …

On the left you have the config place, in the midel the result and on the right the real SUUNTO wach. the swimming pool is here a 25 m long

you already 1 pool so you have done already 50 m , you are just few seconds after your second turn, so it displays you the distance allowing you during the time you are below the water to see it …

You are still in your 3rd run but more than 10 secnds after your second turn, so automatically the watch shows you now the time
I put the time in blue just to observe it but in reality the color could be white

You are now after 75 meters done and after the 10 seconds of your 4th turn, automatically the watch shift on the duration until the end of this 25 m swim

You have now swim more than 1000 meters, as you can see thre is a 1 displayed … it is a secondary information becase you will stay with it multiples long minutes before Kilometer 2 … so it will not change so fast , instead the distance is 125 meter after Kilometer 1 … so if you ant to swim 1.5 you know that it remains still 375 meter …

Below the water the best and most visible color is the read one, so in fact most surely it will be better to display the meters in red, the kilometer in white, the time in RED and the duration in white … so just with 2 colors you perfercly know what you read and you are very focused

if this is doable here I will publish my HTML page so that you can play with it and enjoy it … and if you feel it nice, please vote massively to it , or ask me what else you would see and I will integrate it in a next POC version …

May be SUUNTO folks will finally do it one day … ot tell me how I could develo the same but with ready for them to replace the SUUTONPLUS BIG NUMBER version 1

@Mister-PYC If you are a developer, you could write an S+ app exactly as you want. Depending on your current skill, it could be trivial.

Hello squirrel yes I’m a old but still active developer
It’s multiple times I asked how to develop a S+ application as well as some widget … o have an idea for a widget that shows all about time … but I do not know which langage it is to develop the S+ or the widget also what framework to use, what constraints to respect .
If there is some guidance somewhere I will be please with some help here
