Suunto Smart Heart Rate Belt 2

@VoiGAS This is also my main interest. I’m curious if the ZS data is “cleaner” at all, perhaps less chaotic in the high/low swings, or more “accurate” for time spent in each zone. I see a lot of noise when I look at the DFA data in Runalyze and have always been curious if the strap or my shirt is creating ESD that’s messing up the HRV data.
I’m kind of “meh” about ZoneSense right now with my Polar H10, so if there is cleaner QRS data at the module before reaching the watch, which in turn leads to less noisy DFA data in Runalyze and less noisy ZS charts, I’m interested.
-
@atoponce Yes, had the same noisy graph in runalyze most of the time. As it is stated that the HRM2 is optimized for ZS it should be at least a little better…
-

excerpt of R-R intervals during box step-up sessions. I keep noticing these artifacts here and there (I’m wearing the SHRM2/H10 with my torso bare). With the Polar H10, this never happens—not even once. For comparison, I always use the conductive gel with both. Anybody else? -

Hello guys, as you know, I had severe problems with my watches (SV and SV2) and the ‚old‘ HRM… problems with the BT connection, so I didn‘t use the belts for a long time. Is there anyone who had these problems, too? Can anybody say if the problems are gone with the new HRM2? Thanks

-
That’s how it went today (running) w/ a hiccup that lasted about a minute:

hiccup zoomed:

no idea what happened. Polar H10 no issues at all. -
I can only confirm that none of the new metrics work on the Vertical 1 with the new strap.

@martintrail
On Suunto’s page for the Smart Heart Rate Belt 2, footnote 3 states:“Running Form: Supported on Suunto Vertical 2, Race, Race 2, Race S, Run and Run 2. On selected models, Running Form requires a custom sport mode, SuuntoPlus, or post-workout analysis.”
The original Vertical is not on the list, so we can only hope support will be added later.

@Egika any news on this bug with Suunto 9 ? Belt is still not working

-
@martintrail Did you try the S+ App? At least I can install it on the V1, but don’t have the belt to test it
-
@VoiGAS Which one?

-
@martintrail This one:

-
@Mitch9 aaah this one, I know but Vertical 1 isn’t listed as supported there. I will try tomorrow
-
@Mitch9 It doesn’t work. Just as I thought.

-
@martintrail Hope dies last… don’t get it why the S+ doesn’t work with V1 when there are working Apps for 3rd party accessories like Garmin Varia(!)
-
@VoiGAS The watch just can’t read the data from the belt. It’s a shame, so we’ll see if an update comes out.
-
@VoiGAS iirc Joaquin in his review said that a special S+ will be released for V1

The fact is known. But obviously not easy to solve.
At the bottom of the SHRM2 website the compatibility is listed as follows:

Plus from internal tests SHRM2 is also compatible with:
- Suunto 9 Peak
- Suunto 5
- Spartan Trainer WHR
- Spartan Sport WHRB
- Karoo2
and other devices I won’t list here.

@martintrail This is in the app description: it uses metrics sent by the watch and does not connect to the belt. So same limitations than the watch.
