@isazi Thank you for the reply.

@Stavrogin sometimes I just grab a watch from the drawer and go to sleep, and get the sleep tracked, so I don’t think you should wear it in advance
I do the same all days and the sleep tracking works fine
-
@isazi One last question. You know know if or what role our set resting heart rate plays in sleep tracking? I changed mine recently and that happened to be when it stopped working.
-
@Stavrogin shouldn’t have any as far as I know, but I can’t be sure.

so report it again if it happens with the new firmware
And there I am:
Nap accounted to yesterday:

And tonights sleep:

Fair enough, I did wakeup because of some noise around 23:55 - as seen by the rising HR. But the sleep tracking didn’t even registered it as wakeup…
I think, somebody should look at that code on a higher level as there seems to be something broken in the overall logic…

And again…
Yesterday:

Today:

You’re not alone, happens to me too once or twice a month. Why oh why can’t they implement the ability to edit and delete sleeps and naps.

I come back to this topic, 2.53.42, seems like watch never gets my sleeping time and wake up time correct. I am off on my schedule, but I am moving, changing menus etc, kinda don’t understand how can the watch say I am sleeping.
Is there any “manual” of good practices to not be like that or it will be corrected? In the previous firmware ª(on which also my sleep routing matched more the watch schedule routine) it worked ok for me. -
@isazi Related but not related. What amount of time does one have to have the watch on for before it is able to track sleep? I have had a couple nights now where I took my V2 off and put it back on around 10 pm. I went to sleep at my usual 12am but for two nights now it has not tracked any sleep.
Do I have to have my watch on for several hours before it can accurately track sleep? I know this is a a strange question, but my Garmin and Coros do not have this issue.
My first night with Race S on my wrist. It is now the next morning and the watch did not track sleep last night at all. Sleep tracking is switched on.
After getting up from the bed shortly now in the morning after the sleep, I returned to the bed for a couple of minutes, and Race S reported that I’m sitting for too long and that I should get up!?
I powered off and then immediately I powered on Race S and it can’t keep the time without syncing with the Suunto app on the phone? Is this true= It is now 8:12 in the morning, and the watch is showing 1:00.
I have a smartwatch from another company too. It tracks sleeps and naps flawlessly, no false “you are sitting for too long” alarms and it keeps time after powering off.
Please, advise what to do. Firmware is 2.53.42.

A new development, same firmware (the latest one).
I searched the internet to find whether it is possible to downgrade the current firmware to the previous firmware version. In theory, it is possible. In practice, my watch started the downgrade process and then reported an undefined error and reverted to the latest firmware again. I did this procedure 3 times, unsuccessfully.
Each time after the unsuccessful downgrade, I did the hard reset of the watch. Plenty of time was spent on these activities.
Finally, after the last attempt to downgrade the firmware and a hard reset of the watch, I connected / paired the watch with the Suunto app in my mobile phone, and went to sleep. Yesterday morning, the watch warned me if I had wanted to switch on sleep tracking. I switched it on. Last night I went to sleep hoping that sleep tracking would work.
And it did.
I see this problem as one similar to firmware upgrades in mobile phones. Sometimes the new firmware doesn’t “sit” well and had to be reinstalled. I’ve been doing this on my phones for years. Now I did the same on the Race S watch.
I’ll see whether the problem is finally resolved.
