I miss that option of my previous fenix 6: we stopped for a while (to have lunch for instance) and you set this option so the watch works as normal, not recordering any activity and no wasting battery. When you decide continue your activity, you press the play button and continue from where you left off.

There are quite a few topics about continue later. Maybe use the search option.

I had it on my previous garmins and used it occasionally. It would not be my top priority to have it implemented, but I see the value in it.

@elbee Ups, sorry, I didn’t found it. May be is not the most important feature but in my opinion is very easy to implement and very useful for some of us.

I’m a software developer for almost 30 years. From sitting here, knowing nothing about the software I cannot judge if it’s easy to implement.

From my time with a garmin watch, I noted not many people used the continue later feature. How do I know? I reported quite some bugs with the functionality and only 1 or 2 people confirmed the bugs. Bugs in more used functions got more recognition. (Alse, given the many bugs in continue later, it’s probably not that easy to implement)

Should Suunto spend their limited time on a function only a few people use? And if they spend time on this one, what else should not be implemented?

For me, I rather have Suunto spend time fixing bugs and releasing a new firmware for my race s than the continue later function. Also from the things I used on my garmin that aren’t on my Suunto, live tracking would be way more valuable for me. Just to put things in perspective.

@Benjacc I have never used this function even once when I owned Garmin watches. So I personally don’t care about it. If I stop for a long enough time that pausing isn’t sufficient, I would just end my previous activity and later start another one.

                everyone has their own preference.
I would find it beneficial, to have just one long track of a multi day (or multi stage) activity, while it won’t make much sense for a training effect view.

The other treads talk about resume later. That’s also how it is called on a garmin.
