Race 3S & Race 3 rumours
-
@Tami999 race 3 box looks real enough. Interesting developments, we will see

-
For anyone not keen on digging, this is the photo that was posted on Reddit claiming that the Race 3 will be released during (?) Oktoberfest.

-
-
@Squirrel I donāt see any images?
-
@Squirrel I wouldnāt mind a Race 3S

-
No thanks on another āSā variant. I SMASHED the like button in the survey when asked about a bigger watch with a bigger battery.
-
@stromdiddily Why not? I think there should be a big and small for all watches!
-
@stromdiddily Its precisly the opposite for me, I have small-ish wrist (165mm circonference, small ish for a man, but imagine for a woman), and 43-45mm is already on the bigger side.
Thereās already huge 49mm watches available, we need smaller, good quality watches, and the Race S is subpar (not Sapphire for example). -
@stromdiddily my wife does not like big watch. she is still happy with her suunto 5peak.
-
-
@2b2bff my Race S has some scratches. But it depends on the sports you do. Rock climbing for example is extremely likely to damage the screenā¦
-
@Egika indeed, but this applies to Sapphire as wellā¦
-
@matram flashlight - itās the one thing I really miss from my Garmin Fenix (particularly red flashlight)ā¦I used it almost every night as I am old enough to frequently need a night-time bathroom break!
-
@2b2bff not according to my experience.
My Race S is pretty scratched, while my Vertical and Vertical 2 screens are spotless. I use all watches in the same way. -
@HonzaS I tried Garmin Connect+ for 5 days (free trial) and realised it was hot garbage. I pay for Claude Pro for Ai coaching but would rather pay Suunto instead if their subscription plan was actually any good (but core features need to remain free)ā¦
-
@Egika maybe it is not as easy, but it can happen: https://www.reddit.com/r/GarminFenix/comments/1wrd53d/psa_sapphire_does_scratch/
But as I said, I wonder whether most people just want it, rather than need itā¦
-
@Squirrel I wouldnāt be surprised if youāre right!
-
@2b2bff Definitely a need, I had a few watches before my 9PP, and all of them had their screen scratched before their 6 months, whereas my 3 years old 9PP is looking brand new.
At that point, a non-sapphire watch is a no-buy, no matter how good the rest is -
@Elipsus Thatās why I choosed in past bigger race instead of race s for my ānot a big wristā. No regrets. Maybe if I would work office only and wear it to run on the street - thatās ok.
-
@Tami999 main concern is during sleep, bigger watch are cumbersome, and i think that overly big watches look gaudy depending on arm size
