@VoiGAS After some internet crawling I think I can answer the first two questions by myself:

      • Seems to work that way. Wow, I think the EONs are then the only dive computers with the ability to switch between RGBM and Buhlmann. Very useful if you want to adapt to your buddies computer. Nice!!!
      • Looks like it syncs the way the Running watches are syncing. Nice 2!

The 3rd topic with the data in the logbook would still be very interesting. I tried with a manual scuba activity, but there is just location, startdate/-time an TSS to set 🫤

@VoiGAS Its a little bit boring just talking to myself - but maybe one day someone will also be interested in this topic. In this case: I found the answer to my last question via a public sportstracker profile https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.sports-tracker.com/workout/sandralindlahr/67270db5fbab5122c53f3867&ved=2ahUKEwiey6rxkNGNAxU6gf0HHY9bA0IQFnoECCMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3pQAZJCLElRukujMRaNQFp
Looks nice, especially the depth vs gas consumption graph. Its from an Ocean, but I think the Eon will provide the same data. Thank you Sandra for making this public!

@NO-DECO No, I keep the old Mares Smart Air as it integrates well with the SSI app and I read that the is no number of dives in the Suunto app.
              Maybe this is fixed already?

In preparation of my diving vacation I realized my eyes are getting older, but the Mares Smart display is not growing - or glowing 😉
So finally I got a used Eon Core and can report the first experiences:

                      1. Connection to App is very fast
                      2. Currently syncing the Pre-Owners dives - because they cannot be deleted 😞
                      3. But thats a chance to take a look into the data: Very nice, I like it more than the SSI App. No Dive numbers still, but I don’t care anymore
                      4. Theres an option to tag the location automatically when syncing with the phone. Very nice and closes the gap to the Nautic a little bit
                      5. Changing the algorithm is super easy

Already a lot of info without getting wet 😀. It looks very promising so far. As I bought used the price difference to Nautic S was significant (300€ vs 550€).
Buying new? I think then the Nautic S is the better deal.

                        Update after the first dives:
The display is bad. Really, really bad - in bright conditions under water nearly unreadable. Changed brightness to maximum and removed protection. Lets see how it works tomorrow with this setting, it reduces battery lifetime to 12h…

                        Other things:

                        • I have no sensor and thought I can enter bottle size, start pressure and end pressure in the app. Looks like I can’t 😞
                        • I wish I could see more data in the graph, especially remaining NDL. Maybe ascent speed. It the moment its just depth and temperature

I was also surprised by the display but I am really convinced the protection sheet is not helping. I did not have an extra dive this summer to test without.

Coming from a D4i, I was really satisfied with the data and the 2 default screens. I agree also that I was foreseen more customization. All in all I was happy to switch for this old robust computer at that price. It seems also that the nautic S needs some sw updates.

@Pierre-0 Yes, tested it today without screen protection. Definitely not worse, but also not really better. 10m and below on a sunny day are a real problem, while the Mares Smarts LCD is perfectly readable.
I think the Tec Divers don’t care as they rarely see sunlight, but in the holidays its a real problem.

Maybe someone found a little hack that helps? Maybe a different screen protector, as the biggest problem seems to be reflections.

Edit: AI says the original screen protector is clear, so I ordered a matte one. Unfortunately I will see a potential improvement earliest next year…

Argh I had a lot of hope in the removal of the screen protection … I will try also to find a matte one as I could have a little chance to dive end of October. Otherwise, will have to wait next year (or any tips or feedbacks in the meantime).
I am a bit surprised this little downside does not seem so well known.
Anyway i am really happy with this computer so far and I hope you are also overall satisfied.

@Pierre-0 Yes, really strange this one but very important little thing.
Everything else is great, I love that I don’t have to care about batteries, lightweight but great build quality, sync with GPS Tag was automatically on the boat - thats nice!
I am sure for deep or wreck diving its perfect as you don’t have to enable backlight.

As a little remedy I wore it on the inside of my wrist . It helps a little

One additional thing I found strange is the safety stop:

                                  • If it activates it beeps - annoying if you dive on a shallow reef. Everytime you reach 6m it beeps again. Found no way to deactivate
                                  • When it starts the numbers are shown in Red. It looks like a warning (which it isn’t) and is also barely readable
                                  • I had a ‘Mandatory Safety Stop’ because of ascent speed, but I only saw it in the Logbook afterwards. How can I see the difference? As a coincidence I decided this time to skip the last 15 seconds… Lucky me the computer didn’t lock me out

Sorry for the Spamming, but it will one of the last comments this year…
Two of the strange Safety Stop behaviours resolve each other: Regarding to the manual the colour of the countdown are only red when its a mandatory stop. So this is how to recognize - if you can read the screen at three meters depth which is quite hard in my experience.
Regarding this topic the different screen designs with bigger numbers might help

I fully agree about the contrast under sunny conditions at low depth and that bigger numbers could compensate this.
With my declining vision I will test « quarter moon » small magnifier that could be stuck at the lower part of a mask. It will solve everything.
