Perhaps someone can help me understand the following about ZoneSense: my sleep HRV is within normal range, however today my anaerobic threshold HR was considerably below normal ( like >20 bpm below). I assume that means I was not well recovered, even though the normal sleep HRV would suggest that I was. What am I not understanding here?

      Tnanks, Marco

My workout HRV is always very low compare to sleep hrv.
I’m not a doctor neither physiologist but my understanding would be that hight intensity exercices will always mean higher heart rate and so lower HRV (intervalls between eah heart beat are obvioulsy shorter so variability automatically decreases)

        Suunto’s devices at home :

I believe I’ve read somewhere that daytime HRV can be impacted by something as seemingly insignificant as drinking a glass of water. Therefore I wouldn’t necessarily compare it against your nighttime HRV. I have really not read up enough on this so do NOT take this as some kind of truth, just sharing as there could be something to it.

Hrv on a consumer device just isn’t that accurate. When a person lay still (sleeping), there might be reasonable results, but the slightest move influences the measurement.

            And the gadgetblogger version: https://the5krunner.com/2026/02/18/garmin-hrv-accuracy/

(And no, suunto is not magical better in measuring hrv)
