Suunto AI Coach discussion
-
@Mi_chael AI coach is not supposed to be linked to watches ; but activation for now is linked to SRs3 purchase.
-
Yes it is but Suunto Ai don’t care about the watch you use.
-
But I think that updates to the Suunto OS would be needed to support uploading structured workouts
Not necessarily. They could let AI create a Suunto Guide, like other third party services can do now. But I agree about structured workouts, a native structured workouts feature would be a very welcome feature!
-
@danutz that already works in the Suunto AI, you can create guides based on your request to the bot
-
-
@matram I do not know, in theory it should be possible (to a degree). It is already possible for third-parties to customize (to a degree) the S+ guides screen, and you can already see that different parties implement them slightly different.

@danutz write access is super scary for mcp. 3rd parties are limited to api. Additionally they offer buffer , cache etc.

I understand the technical concerns, but they can be handled. Coros already does it: since September their official MCP can create and edit workouts and training plans, but not delete them: https://coros.com/au/stories/coros-metrics/c/mcp-testing
I know nothing is final until the official release. But if the MCP stays read-only, it will look like Suunto is holding back write access to make the AI Coach worth paying for, and that won’t look good these days.

Hi.!
I love the idea of suunto AI coach.one quick question.I am a suunto vertical user.will it be available for my model via update?
Thanks. -
@andktrip as mentioned above, Suunto AI in the current implementation is a feature of Suunto App on mobile phone. It integrates with watch via for example sending interval workouts and routes, but other than that it’s agnostic to the what watch is connected.
At the moment Suunto AI is limited for Race 3S users, and later will be available for everyone, but exact terms is not known yet.
