Hello, I don’t know if this was requested, but quite often I am doing my workouts without the phone, so cached last weather forecast for my location would be very nice outdoor feature to know coming weather.
Garmin already is having something similar, but that function requires phone to be with you, so if Suunto would apply offline caching to this feature and standalone without phone it would be quite nice!

      I really like this idea!

I would really like to even have the last weather app notification for example.

I think if we have a notification center perhaps this will be solved without extra magic.

However I would love to have cached weather.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos cache from the last sync would work just fine, as watch syncing every 30min I think so this just more than sufficient.

So it would mean that we could have a summary of the weather for the activity recorded.
It’s what I get with Samsung Health.
It would be nice just to remember this run under this heavy rain or the last hike at minus something.

@nicolasp My first intention was weather forecast on the watch itself to check weather not watching at the phone, but I think weather in the workout data might be good thing for some people, personally for me I don’t know how valuable it would be.

Weather recording in the app would be very useful. Cyclemeter has this. It is useful to compare performance on regular routes especially cycling. Like today my commute both ways was not particularly good, but looking at the weather it’s because I had a headwind both ways. Well that’s my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Below is a screenshot of Cyclemeter showing the weather relating to the activity.

That would be super useful. How much of a priority though that’s a different matter.
Let us all hope that the new watch will sell a lot.

@slashas Great suggestion about weather on watch from phone, providing the data is cached and doesn’t need the watch shackled to the phone.
I have a Pace 2 watch from Huami which has 7 days weather cached and current day updated through the day.

I would like to see this to… Synced from the phone (on watches without baro). It would look like this: temperature(maybe an up-right arrow, down-right or up and down arrow indicating the temperature change intensity) and a little image about the weather for the next 3h/6h/12h (cloud, sun, rain, snow, freeze, thunderstorm, etc).

@SlaSh what the Spartan need a an app called minute Cast that tells you precipitation to the minutes and will also alert you to when the rain begin and stop

@horvathbotond TBH the Spartan could do with a Barometer widget on a watch face or at least a Baro trend arrows for the past 12 hours that way you can have a quick glance and know what the pressure doing
