NEW Suunto 3
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos In Germany we say: “Old wine in new bottles.” The only thing that appears to be new: old (high) price, new color and “Made in Finland”.
-
I always thought that all Suunto watches were manufactured in Finland. Guess I was wrong.
Is this the only model or is the new Suunto 7 also manufactured in China? -
@surfboomerang Former Suunto 3 Fitness was made in China.
-
@surfboomerang @Armin-S
If I remember well, also SSSTrainer was made in china, at least a first batch -
What about this SA day detail?
And, that a new watchface?
Perfect design…
Now I would love this exacly design + S5 features + Baro => WIN

@jthomi I am not sure about that. It doesn’t say so…

No, It hasn’t, only assisted GPS, but like @suzzlo said, he would love the design with S5 features and Baro. And with built-in GPS it would be even better.
But I am now waiting for the S9 successor, built like S5, minus the google stuff and with HR belt support.
-
@jthomi
the S9 Plus or the S11?
I expect myself to be happy with my watch for quite some time now. But who knows with what great watch Suunto goes into the market next to compete with Fenix 6X?
If it’s less of an S7 and more of an improved S9, I’ll be in -
-
@TELE-HO I think we will have not only a watch, the ecosystem will be better in general than others.
-
@Bulkan
I don’t know how Garmin is today, but when I changed to Suunto, Garmin was still not able to sort activities by total ascent and the summary of backcountry skiing did not show this value whatsoever… and really not anybody cared about that.
For me everything in Suunto is better, even I see few compromises. It is the better bundle. -
@TELE-HO I do have plenty of experience with Garmin, and although the Connect app has everything and even more, and contains a ton of data, it’s very confusing. So much that what I use it for is just to get data from my watch and then analyze it in TrainingPeaks (and nowadays Runalyze).
-
@TELE-HO the Garmin 6x is pretty solid. The DLC is very anti scratch is superior than other watch in toughness.
Climb pro is useful in tracks in the mountain. Alarms (multiple) and sync with Training Peaks are great.
But the lack of power native support and the over complicated data fields aren’t for me.
-
@TELE-HO agreed.

@Brad_Olwin yeah!
