Bright mode Cycling.

"Today I took my Suunto Race watch for a bike ride, and I’m bothered because the screen keeps switching from the bright mode to the dim mode. I’m wondering if it can stay consistently bright. I’m attaching ac328a351-91ba-4a42-9241-996d5c482f71.mp4 video.

@vidmarr I‘m also interessted in a solution for this behavior, especially when you have the mapscreen on. In that case the dimming of the Display really annoys me.

Well, since the primary discussion went to ‘offtopic’ about the custom mount (pictures), I suppose there’s no solution to set the display to ‘always ON’ during cycling, MTB, etc???
I always use Race on my handlebar mount and i’ts realy anoing, that display is automaticly dimmed. It’s hardly readable in this dimmed mode, specialy maps, maybe in dark forest yes, but on the normal daylight no go! Since you do not press or rotate the crown, to wake up the display (just for a few seconds) it’s for me useless! Tryed different angles of positioning Race on handlebar, but no! The general setting of display to ‘always on’ does not help either. So at this stage of FW we are not able to set display to its constant full brigtness, or I’m missing something???

This is the reason I switched to the Vertical. I didn’t find a solution and the fact, that the full brightness is needed during the whole bike ride to have a usable map is a no go for me.
