@Ze-Stuart think this is the article you mention: https://saketonemo.it/talking-about-suunto-with-suunto/
We can only hope that being a triathlete Markus has more than one bike or power meter and can direct Suunto on how devices work in 2024.
Personally I would also welcome an integration with other platforms if they can not implement. Let me import my Wahoo data like they have done recently with Xiaomi.

@Ze-Stuart my SRAM AXS Force d2 does power & cadence just fine although I do wish power was both sided. I guess it’s just an average as the axs is dual sided, not the one crank arm method.

Do we think dual sided power will come in a future update? This would address any of my cycling needs as I don’t need the always on maps for navigation.

@Olaf-Gottschalk no problem for me, I have a Wahoo cadence sensor and a Polar H10✌️

How to know where does cadence data come from? I have Suunto bike pod for many years now and also Favero dual sided power meter. I had cadence via bike pod before, but when I went on vacation an rented a bike, I took my pedals with me. And I had cadence data for all my rides with PM. Does PM override bike pod cadence? I’m thinking about ditching my bike pod…

@Likarnik the Assioma pedals provide cadence data to the Suunto watch along with the power data as you noticed. So I think that you can safely ditch Suunto’s bike pod.

Regarding which cadence data gets recorded by the watch if you have both power meter pedals and the bike pod paired, I have no idea.

Getting more such integrations is something I really think could Suunto set apart from other companies. I would love to see integration of e.g. Oura’s sleepdata from their rings, so you could just wear the ring at night and not the watch (besides the fact, that they’re both located in Finland 😅)

There have been a lot of requests for support for multiple sensors with better management. I have no idea when they will ever support this but it is really disappointing.

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen no, I have to do this over and over again as I already have to unpair and pair again when using the Kickr bike.
And no - removing the battery is not an option as I want both meters to work in order to compare them by recording one with an app and one with the Race.

This whole situation is a mess and totally unworthy of the otherwise good hardware of the Race.

@Durri you did understand my post? If you only have ONE sensor per type, of course you don’t have a problem.

                      My setup:
Kickr bike (power, cadence & speed)

Bike 1 with Wahoo Speedplay power meters, Bontrager Speed&Cadence sensor

Bike 2 with SRAM Axis power meter and Wahoo speed sensor

Now, how do you technically “manage” these sensors?

Even worse: when I forget to unpair&pair again at home and my GF is already on her Kickr setup, I cannot pair my bike as there already is more than one sensor in the room sending information and because you do not see which one the Race connects to, you are f***ed.

@Olaf-Gottschalk As others have said, this has been an issue raised several times. I used to bike race but no longer, I had three bikes and this would be a real issue for me as well. We can only hope that it is something in progress. I understand your frustration.
