      Hi

Since the last update my Race has been really poor.

Basically outside of activities the watchface is always off - gesture mode doesnt wake anymore and the AOD option is greyed out and can’t be changed as well. So I have a blank screen unless I press any buttons.

(Photos of greyed out AOD option below - the AOD text is greyed out not white which photos maybe do not show clearly - sorry for the Imgur link but I cannotp get photos to show inline here)

In addition, after activities it seems that something is draining the battery - during activities even following a course with a map, I am using around 2% battery per hour when trail running in Performance mode. That is good and as expected. But two days later, having not used the watch it lost approx 20% over those two days (off wrist, resting on its side). Battery % is written to the FIT file so looking at the end % of an activity then the starting % of the next activity shows how much is draining when its not really being used.

I do not really want to start doing resets as I find it can be hard to get things paired again and re-syncing maps takes hours. I think its best the root cause is found.

Both these issues triggered after the last firmware update.

You are not alone and this is discussed in many other post.
Hard reset you don’t want, but a soft reset can solve some of the issues (lots of them sometimes). Theorically, no need to repair anything after. Just sync with app once for watch ready for next adventure.

I have had issues with battery draining before, all I have done is turn the watch off and then on and the issue seems to be fixed, no hard or soft reset needed.

Because of the several issues reported, I skipped the update for the moment, in addition, I didn’t experienced any of the problems that patch should solve …
