@Suunto: Recently, my son’s Suunto 9 Peak Pro, which I bought for him as a present, was updated to Software 2.37.48 through the app. Since then, the watch has two problems:

      • The watch instantly shuts down when I disconnect it from the charger.
      • Even when on the charger, the watch does not connect to the app anymore, or even to Bluetooth on my mobile

      Model # is “OW211”, Hardware is “2444C5”

I tried a soft reboot and a hard reset to factory values, but both didn’t help.

Question: has the SW update bricked the watch & I have to send it in, or do I have a chance of backdating or sideloading another, working SW version?

Unfortunately, the chat bot in the app directly said that this goes beyond the info it has, and I did not find a way to contact Suunto support on the web site, apart from directly applying for an RMA #, so please give me a hint where to look in case I missed something.

@brettacher Sounds like it needs repair. An RMA is probably best.
