Vertical - powermeter - power reading resets
-
@nseslija thank you, it is reassuring that I am not the only one with the issue.
-
@benille I have the same problem with my Vertical and Favero Assioma Pro, I’ve already done a downgrade to the 20.40.44 version, and I’ll be doing some tests over the day. The problem doesn’t occur in my Suunto app, Strava or Intervals.ICU, it’s only the data that is wrongly displayed on the screen.
-
@MIŁOSZ It seems that downgrading fixed the problem
-
@MIŁOSZ thanks, how can I do a downgrade?
-
I have the same issue, using a cycling power meter.

I have contacted suunto support and seems that they are not aware of this problem.
Has anyone the same issue but with a different power meter brand than Favero? Here the reply from Suunto Support:
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with the cycling power meter data on your Suunto Vertical. This is the first time I’m hearing about this specific issue, but I will definitely forward your report to our team for further investigation. Since the Assioma Favero Duo is a third-party device, it’s also a good idea to check with Favero directly, as sometimes firmware glitches, sensor calibration, or connectivity problems can cause inaccuracies.
We appreciate you sharing the forum link, and we’ll look into this closely. While I can’t provide a timeline just yet, we’ll keep you and our community updated as soon as there’s progress.
Thank you for your patience and for helping us improve the Suunto experience."

@benille it’s not only Favero, it’s not only cycling power meters, stryd users also have the problem.

Several reports in the Software Update 2.43.8/.12 (2025 Q2) thread.

how can I do a downgrade?
I don’t have Vertical but on Race(S) you go to Settings>General>About
Scroll all the way down
Hold lower button to enter Debug menu
then >Select OTA pkg
and choose which version to install -
@Squirrel thanks a lot, is there a way to dowgrade to an older version? I can only choose between 2.43.8 and. 12 and both have this issue.
-
@benille You’d have to find the older firmware version. You could try to ask for a link and instructions in https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6836/firmware-collection
