Thanks to everyone who tested the beta.

Based on your feedback, this firmware version won’t be released to all users. We couldn’t reproduce every issue you reported, but for the ones we did, we’ll work on fixes and hope to share another beta version in the future.

@pavel.samokha Upps. Well, as a 9PP user, I find it a shame. I’m really looking forward to the new features. But well, I prefer a stable operating system to new features. However, I really hope they continue working on updates for our model. Fingers crossed.

@pavel.samokha Even while my Watch was reseted on install, I did not have much hassel with this beta. So I think about keeping it until a final version arrives or should I be worried about something?

Thanks for keeping us updated and deploying this beta test in advance!

This update hasn’t introduced any defect to my S9PP. Since I’ve been now using it for 2 years, I want to take the chance to celebrate with a quick recap of improvements and issues:

              • Notifications: since the 2.44.48 update it seems that some notifications are not received; also, instead of seeing the text of a whatsapp message, I often just see “Checking for new messages”, but this has been going on since I changed phone (Android for Android) a few months ago.
              • Battery: no changes since last update. In general my battery used to last around 20 days until the HRV readings where introduced in December 2023, now it goes about 10 days.
              • Climb Guidance: as I reported elsewhere, on a 47 km trail run I wasn’t sure that the zoom option (upper button) correctly shifted from one waypoint to another (as explained here: https://forum.suunto.com/post/173960) but I need to test it again. Otherwise the feature is great! I’m also not sure about a customisable data field in the dedicated screen, was it mentioned somewhere or am I completely wrong?
              • Live location S+: I don’t really use it but I’m happy this app has been developed. It doesn’t always connect for me, but when it does, it works well.
              • Sensors: I only use a chest strap and there are no issues. The “connected” notification at the beginning of an activity is a bit intrusive, but nothing terrible.

I stopped using HRV readings, sleep tracking and daily HR some time ago, so I can’t really judge.
I’ve been very happy with this watch for 2 years now, it has been improved a lot since then and most important, it never ever crashed or caused significant errors. I wish every device I buy was like this!

@pavel.samokha Have you fixed the issue when random watches factory reset after update?

Yes, you can continue using this version as long as it suits you

Hi, noted a unusual behavior in this version compared to the stable one, when turning off an alarm, possible after you snoozed, there is a 2-3 sec lag where the screen freezes, after that the watch is back to normal.

Seems like it is gathering data to update the “sleep” tracking info screen that it shows shortly after that.

On other thing I noted, maybe it came from the reset that happend, that fitness age went from 32 up to 41, while in the last runs VO2Max decreased from 43,5 to 42,5.

Don’t that I really trust those figures especially as I mainly run trails.
Will check in a couple of weeks again.

With the beta FW in I did 600 yards in the pool and still the stroke detection doesn’t work… everything is detected as free (free, breast, back). Once change I did see was, when there was a change in stroke during a length, the next turn wasn’t detected.
